Just sits there in the hospital.
The nurses and doctors and midwives in the department work to provide antenatal and postnatal care, and deliver babies, and will probably be where the community midwife team is based.

Since asking what does a maternity ward do. Thats simple since being a prior nurse. We check and responed in a timely manner. We give what ever the doctor has order to give the patients. We chart thousands and thousands of times. Thats just so you dont sue us/ doctors and nurses. But mostly, I give and have gave T>L>C> to you and your baby or no baby. Thats free of charge!
