What did you name your children and was there a specific reason?

We named our son Ethan James because Ethan was the only name we could agree on besides Calvin (but I hate the nickname Cal) and James is a name that's been used in every generation of my husbabnd's paternal family.

What did you name your children?

My husband and I have decided on changing one of our childrens' names. Her name was Teagan Lily but we've decided that due to some large issues with the person she was named after (unfixable problems too great to mention here) we wanted to change her name. We decided to change it to Lily Harper. Do you think we were wrong to change her name? She's only a few months old.

I am trying to come up with a girls name. I came up with Re'ann Michaela. His mom's middle name is Rene' and mine and my mom's middle name is Ann,so that is how we came up with Re'ann. Daddy's middle name is Michael, so thats how we came up with Michaela. Unfortunately my mom thinks Ann should come first. Do you have any suggestions for a name that would include Rene' and Ann, but the name starting with Ann.

I'm throwing some more names out there but am stuck on good middle names for them.

Some names I like....Zara, Jade, Jayda, Loren, Kasey, Alannah, Charlotte, Brianna, Hannah, Aimee / Amy

Liam, Jackson, Zavier, Jake, Zane, Jayson

possible family names for middle names...
Jacqueline, Elizabeth, Jessica, Linda, Evelyn,
Kate Lydia (my late grandmothers name on my mum's side), Eva (my late grandmother on my dads side)

Joseph, Shane, Noel, Steven, Stanley (not fond of this), Ty/Tyrone, Thomas, and all the others are mostly very german names like Hans and Wolfgang so not great.

Other children Eliza Jasmine (no family names) and Isaac Matthew (his dads middle name is Matthew)

Okay, so can you come up with some parings that work together well and fit with the surname 'Vellacott' (yes another german name!) We live in Australian by the way!

My friends and I are writing a story about a dysfunctional American family. Most of the charcters already have names but some still don't. I need some suggestions. Here are the discriptions of the characters that still need names:
1. Sweet & kind girl next door. Comes from a strong Christian family and always goes to church. Kind of nerdy but very caring, the type of person who would bake you cookies for your birthday. Will most likely grow-up to be a homemaker.
2. Slutty, bad-***, chain-smoking, heavy-drinking, leater-wearing biker girlfriend. High school drop out and working in a bar. Has been known to sleep around.
3. Sweet seven year old girl. The apple of her fathers's eye and her mother's little angel. Her parents never look beyond their love of her and they let her get away with everything. Everybody's favourite child.

When you have certain surnames, why can't some people realise that there are certain names they shouldn't give their children.. like:

Shirley Knott (noo... really?)
Emille Sheikh (slimfast anyone?)
Nina Nannar (naanaa nanaaa naa.. oh, ok so she's a BBC news correspondent)

Can you think of any more?

I like this name but I'm not sure which way is the best way to spell it. I know it's spelled correctly as Aubrey.
Should it be spelled Aubrey, Aubrie, or Aubree?
The middle name by the way is Kathryn.
