I like it. Classic names like Deborah are starting to become more popular again.

If your objective is a classic, traditional name, then Deborah certainly fits the bill. Personally, I would perfer having a more updated first name and perhaps use "Deborah" as the middle name.

It is an older aged name, and all the Deborah's I know are in their 40's or 50's living in the Midwest, and are all known as "Debbie" or "Deb" (yuck) instead. Seriously, all of my 45-year old Mom's friends are named "Debbie" or "Tammy" or "Pam" - names that are aged now. So I don't really like it - I hear that name and just think old. I'm sorry. :(

If you like the name and are planning on naming your child that name, all that matters is that you and your partner like it and it is not off-the-wall and will cause your child embarrassment. I don't think this name will bother your child much at all, despite the fact it is an older name.

The original Deborah was a distinguished character in the bible -- the only woman who was one of the Judges in the book of that name.

I think its beautiful. There are not too many Deborah that I know of. Plus she would also have a nick name Debbie.

Nope. I don't care for it. There's something about the "bor" sound in the middle, followed by "uh", that I just can't get past. I can't quite put my finger on what it is though that irks me about the combo. Debbie is perfectly fine though. Go figure.

I don't like it for a baby, but it would work on an older woman. Use it only if your okay with your kid being called Debbie. Although I personally wouldn't use it.

I feel like it's a little 1950s for me. It's a nice name, just dated sounding.

Old-fashioned and classic. It's a nice name. A bit common, but definitely nice! Also, I think Deb and Debbie are nice nicknames!
