Beckett reminds me of the baseball player Josh Beckett, so I generally think of it as a last name. BUT I think it is very unique though, and I love it much better than Reed. Reed reminds me of another baseball player Reed Johnson. Are you naming your kids after baseball players??? LOL just joking.
Yes, I like the name Beckett, not Reed though. Beckett Jacob is nice, but I was tempted to say Jacoby Beckett. Jacoby (pronouced Ja-co-bee) is a nice match with Beckett, but then people might say youre naming your kids after Red Sox players.
Beckett Michael is also lovely, and so is Beckett James. They too plain for you?
Good luck on finding the perfect name!!

I know one thing, it better be a name your child can be happy with all of his life and not have to spell every time he says it - that is annoying.
Reed would be great as it is understandable & spellable and a truly neat name.
Beckett is probably a little too far of a reach - maybe reverse and name the baby Reed Beckett - you don't have to use your middle name as much - I like the sound of Reed Beckett and with your last name behind it - should sound like a melody when spoken!
Congrats on the upcoming new member to your family.

I am not crazy about it - he'd probably be called Beck or Becks as a nickname. Some people do go by their middle name, and I do like Reed, although all the ones I've known have spelled it "Reid."

Ok - thinking of kids in school, I would say no because there aren't any good nicknames other than "beck" (which could turn into "becky" if kids are mean as kids are...) That's just the first thing I think of in deciding names - what nickname would be used. What about Chad or Travis?
