for a baby girl, my fiance and i like the name Arienh (or Airian, or however it can be spelled..i personally like Aerienh, but that's just me) it's pronounced so i think AIR-EE-EN. or AH-RAY-EN. we think it's very pretty, but my fiance for some reason is worried that it may seem to similar to the term Aryan (if you don't know what the term refers to, than good! it's associated with hitler's perfect 'race' you know, blonde hair blue eyes is the best. weird because he didn't have eitehr, but he was crazy, so ...erm yeah.) either way, we'd hate to name one of our children a name associated with that horrible time in history. i don't think it's similar to hitler's term ata ll, but he's worried other people may. so what do you think?

I'm really confused about what catholic names are.

My grandmother was very Catholic and after my baptism (I think) I was given the name Natalia. Is this a confirmation name? Or is the confirmation name something different than what this is?

Although I am male, my mom named me Alexandra rather than Alexander because she preferred the spelling and the way the name sounded.

Growing up, I hated having the female spelling of my name, although I mostly went by Alex or Lex anyway. but I always assumed I would change it when I was old enough.

But now I am old enough and I am having second thoughts because my mom really doesn't want me to change it and I think it would really upset her.

What do you think I should do?

I really like Madeline Rose for a girl but that's all I've got.

Only the first name has to begin with an "A" or "M" not the middle name. I'm open to suggestions!!! The last name would be McShane.

THANK YOU!!!

My husband would like to name our son Joseph Henry. Because there are so many "Joe's" in our family, we are thinking of calling him Henry. I think Henry is cute for a baby and a little boy, but worry a bit for how it is perceived later in life. Thoughts?

I am pregnant for the second time and I need names. The surname is Leonard and the following names can't be used as they are family names and we don't want to copy any of them:

Jennifer Madeline, Joshua Kieran, Tyler Joshua, Tina Rebecca, Joe Damien, Aaron Jacob, Lauren Lucy, Tom Fredrick, Katrina Georgia, Charlie Zack, Helen Diane, Jeremy Henry, Louise Eleanor, Liam Oliver, Ben Michael, Luke Peter, Kate Lynn, Penelope Victoria, Tiffany Amber, Fiona Rachel.

I know it is a bit harder than usually as you can't use some names but thanks!
