My husband would like to name our son Joseph Henry. Because there are so many "Joe's" in our family, we are thinking of calling him Henry. I think Henry is cute for a baby and a little boy, but worry a bit for how it is perceived later in life. Thoughts?

I know 2 Henrys but they are 50 years old. I think it is a good fit when he gets older but maybe you can call him by his middle name.

I like the name Henry for a boy, I know it does seem old fashion but it's a cute name and seems to be quite popular but still uncommon.

I once knew a guy named Henry but uh we wont talk about that, lets just say he wasn't a good Henry.. the kind you wish you had of never met.

Don't let that influence your descion though, it's all up to the child as to how they will be as an adult.

I don't really think much of the name Joesph, I just never really liked it at all.. If there are so many Joe's in your family why in the world would either of you want to name him that? If either of you insist on naming him Joesph and want to call him Henry how about Henry Joesph?

Henry is a nice name. Actually, I'm not very fond of it, but it is a good, strong name. It's a good name for a business-man, but he can use it the way he wants. A guy who's really popular is named Henry.

Hope I Helped,
Alena

P.S. I also like Henry Joseph

I had an uncle named Henry and we called him Hank most of the time. I think Joseph Henry is a good name. I know several Henry's or Hank's and they are all great guys.

I love Henry for a little boy! I've honestly never met anyone with that name, but I understand it's making a comeback. Another cute H name for a boy is Hayden.

It makes me think of this sweet boy I use to know named Henry. I think it's regal, makes me think of Kings namd Henry. I don't know of any negative conotation with Henry. I prefer Richard for an old nobel Kings name, but as long as you both like the name, I don't see the problem.

I have a son named Henry. In fact he is Henry the tenth! named after his dad, his grandpa, his grandpa's dad and so forth. I have gotten many different reactions. I have gotten "wow, I haven't heard that name in awhile" and I get "that is a really nice name" and " that name is adorable"
I think Henry is fine :)
It is a good name, for a good little man. :)

Yes, Henry may be old fashioned, but when I first saw Henry in your question, my gut reaction was Prince Henry (such a cutie) so yeah I like it
