I don't have any kids and I won't for awhile but do you think Apollo and Kermit are cool names? I like 'em.

First of all think, If you were a young boy would you like to be called Kermit? I definately wouldn't. kermit isn't my style of name. It reminds me of Hermit the frog. Apollo on the other hand is a beautiful name. It means courage and heart. If I had a son I would consider calling him Apollo. But Kermit? Noway. XxX Good Luck.

My grandfathers name was Grover, and I wanted to marry Kermit, so I don't see a problem with that name, and I love the name Apollo, I don't think I would use it as a first name though, too powerful.

Kermit- are you serious? don't do it!

Apollo- I actually liek it, but I prefer Pollo or "Paulo" better.

I am a strong advocate of making up your childs name. I personally would hate to have a name that 5 other people in the same room have!
But naming your child after a joke Sesame Street character is just cruel.

if you want them to be laughed at by all the other children.....both names are associated with a frog(kermit) and a spaceship or an olympic skater(apollo)....its ok to give your child an unsual name but try not to have it be associated with a cartoon/tv character or with something too far from the norm....it makes life hard on the child and anyone who may want to be his or her friend......

the above also applies to strange spellings of typical or normal names...makes life hard for the child and all of the childrens teachers and the parents of his friends(for invitations and such)....

If you have those two kids eventually I would love to meet you & your kids.....that would be so cool.....
I especially like the name "Kermit"...I picture a kind of heavyset lazy little boy.
"Apollo" will probably suffer from ADHD...he sounds faster paced to me...
