Hmm, it wasn't till I started trying names that I realised what a problem you've got - a lot of them just don't 'go' do they?!

David and Christopher sound OK to me for a boy and Katherine for a girl.

The best sounds seem to be more than one syllable and ending in a consonant rather than a vowel (and definitely not 'a'!). Perhaps you could find some names you like using that theory...?

You're lucky as most names will go with Ayre, long or short.
I don't think a long first name goes well with a long surname - it's too much of a mouthful as well as giving the child spelling problems.
I think you can have names of 1 to 4 syllables that will sound good with your surname.
But I agree with the joker who said "Ryan" - not a good idea!!
And I think a name that ends in "a" (or sounds like it does) will be harder to say, eg Amanda Ayre.
Whatever you choose, good luck.

Boy names; Stuart/ Kevin/Jonathon/James; the list is endless.
Girls names; Caroline/Joanne/Cindy/Linda/...
Ayre is a good name, with a short, sharp pronunciation, so any name that has some length in it will go well with it.
