Hey all. I'm thinking of naming my first girl Kennedy. Her full name would be something like, "Kennedy Anne Havgaard Steffensen". (yeah, long I know but my fiance has two last names.) Basically I know my brother will never have children because of his "life decisions" and I'd like my family name to continue. It kinda sucks cause the other day I saw a Barbie on tv named Kennedy and I was like, "CRAP >_

We found out we are pregnant with our 4th child (hopefully a boy this time) and we have Gabriel Michael chosen for him, but if it's another girl ? the middle name we have chose is Athena. I personally liked Narcissa (means Daffodil), but my DH doesnt like it. I want to find a name that is not very common like my youngest daughter (aleera)I can't even find a meaning for her name~IF ANYONE CAN FIND IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!~ Can anyone give me any suggestions?

This is a little different type of question for baby names section, but i have twin sons who are 2.5 years old. Their names on their birthcertificates are Kaden Jeremy and Kodee Justin. Kodee Justin does by "Justin" He was named after his daddy, Justin. We did not want a Jr. so we did it this way. Well, the problem i have is after 2.5 years my mother still hates it that i call my son Justin, because she likes the name Kodee better. She argues with me, has even told me i F****ed up my sons name, and its getting old. How can i politely put her in her place without causing hard feelings? I'm sick of hearing about what i SHOULD have called my own child. Now that im pregnant again, she thinks ill "screw up" this childs name as well. What would you say to her? She lives out of state, but even on visits this comes up! Thanks to all who have read this far and answer!

My husband and I recently found out he has a 1 year old daughter. He had slept with an ex girlfriend right before we got together. Four months into are marriage we were slapped with a paternity test for child support. We tried to see the baby .It was on her terms and complete intimidation from her parents. So now we are paying a lot of money , not seeing her , and his lawyer is telling him to kiss her *** to see the baby. It just doesnt seem right.
Can we go to court on our own (without a lawyer). Ask for joint physical custody. Have her name changed to ours. And have him put on the birth certificate. We want to be part of her life not just a paycheck. We live in california, Any advice? Thanks

I want to name my son River. Not after River Pheonix, I just have always really liked the name. Is it too hippie-ish? I really don't want the kid to be made fun of but I think it's SUCH a cool name. What do you think?

Alijah pronounced is like the actor Elijah Woods just in case you were unsure of how to pronounce it. A lot of people tell me it sounds Middle Eastern and I don't like that at all. They say it's an Iraqui name but I never thought so before. His middle name will be James after my husband's father. How does Alijah James sound to you?

First off I'm not pregnant but I'm thinking of names anyways. I love the name Aiden for a boy... but I guess it means fire in some language. Well my fiances last name is fire in another language. Would that be too weird having a kid literally called Fire Fire?

Her father and I agreed to name her Lauryn(father's name is Larry),but we cant think of middle name. I was thinking something that started w/ A since his middle name is Allen. Then someone said maybe I can name her middle name after me so that she can be named after both of us(first name-Rona;middle-Michelle) Any ideas?

My husband really likes the name Jamie for a boy. I think it's cute, and I do picture a sweet and handsome man... however my family thinks it's too feminine. What do you think? Please be nice, because hubby will probably win this one...

I am only 8 weeks pregnant so I still have time to decide on a baby name but right now I think about what his or her name is going to be. I had considered naming our child Saniya if it was a girl. I have no clue as to what I would name our child if we had a boy. I considered Jared as his first name and Jaden for his middle. My fiance doesnt like the name. He wanted to name our child Jayrell. I dont like that name though. Do you have any ideas?

I don't have any children yet, but when we do, I already have names picked out. I'm wondering if I name my boy Gunner if he will be made fun of. I don't know why we picked this name, but it's always been the name we've had picked out. Do you guys think he will get made fun of?
