You might notice that it takes a nosedive under the two Bush presidents (especially the second Bush), but when Clinton was in office it was actually a budget surplus.
Also take note of the source at the bottom of the chart : Congressional Budget Office.

Bernadette Chirac wife of former French President Jacques Chirac has endorsed Hillary Clinton for President in 2008.

She even expressed interest in attending the Democratic convention in Denver in August. "And if I can be of any use to her somewhere in the campaign, I'm available. I'd like to go with her and I'm going to suggest it to her."

BRISTOL, N.H. - Presidential hopeful Fred Thompson said Friday that New York City isn't a model for the rest of the country and that Rudy Giuliani should stop basing his stances on his time as that city's mayor.

Gun rights is a key issue among libertarian-leaning primary voters in New Hampshire.

"(Giuliani) simply supported just about every gun control legislation that came down the pike. I just disagree with him on that," Thompson said. "I saw he was at bill signing ceremonies with (New York Sen.) Chuck Schumer and President Clinton and others for gun control legislation over the years."

Thompson also said the Democrats would do everything they could to end gun rights.

"They were against gun rights for a long time and they paid for it at the polls," he said. "I don't think Americans think taking guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens makes for a safer America"

Not in shame but, in a kind of protest sabatical. Let the Republicans pay for their mistakes by putting someone in charge of the presidency next term and just allow them to destroy American life. It's a strategy I like to use with combative people: you give them the rope to tie themselves up for good with and then come in after they're finished screwing around and clean up their mess so everyone can clearly see what is going on. I might support reconsider voting for Rudy. What do you think?

"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will," he wrote.

"If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

This has been a matter of some debate lately, but I don't know how much it really matters. Rarely has a President won without winning the popular vote. 3 or 4 times I think.
