I favor paper ballots because unlike Republicans, I think some American institutions SHOULD be handled by the people... not Visa and Mastercard.

Really, how do we know that the machines are even counting the votes?
There is no paper trail that WE THE PEOPLE are allowed to see...

It doesn't give you a reciept - at least the ATM's do that!

I would have us keep optical scan paper ballots..but get rid of the completely electronic systems. The capability to rig elections is always going to be potentially greater with
E Slates and the Diebold systems.
They should be out lawed.

If we have the resources capable of doing that, then yes. (Though it would be using up a lot of paper.) And the people checking the ballots should be monitored as well.

I think paper ballots (with a real paper trail), checked by humans is essential to a fair and honest election. *sm*

I agree one hundred percent and I wonder if the outcome of a presidential election in your nation would have been different had there been a paper trail.
