Pretty sure that this was a (paraphrased) quote from a politician a few decades back.

Who the heck was it please? And do you agree?

I've been reading and posting on politics for a few weeks now and I've been amused at the throwing around of the evil "they". They believe X. They don't think. They are worse than Hitler. Who is They? Is it your neighbor? Is it the parent of your child's best friend? A teacher? Your librarian? Your postal carrier? So much hate is wrapped up in this mysterious They.

Oddly enough, They also are the ones who tell us what's healthy, what's popular, what's unacceptable. Who are they?

How much time do they actually spend together? Since 2000 when Hillary became a US senator she has spent most of her time in Washington, DC and Bill in Chappaqu, NY. When she announced her run for president, then I started seeing more of her and Bill together? Are Americans that forgetful or ignorant of the Clintons relationship?

If you wish to guarantee the right to freedom of speech, to a free press, or even the right to be free from slavery, you must guarantee the right to private property to protect those rights. If there is no private property, then the government has the ability to determine who may say something and therefore to censor anybody who opposes the government. The government will only permit those who support it to write in a newspaper.

And, without property rights, what is preventing the government from making everybody into its slaves to do with as they wish?

It is clearly obvious that so-called "human rights" depend upon property rights in order to exist. The Soviet Union's citizens had alot of rights, including the right to free speech according to the Soviet Constitution, but everybody knows they didn't actually have any rights. So, why are liberals such opponents of property rights, especially when it is impossible to protect "human rights" without private property?

I believe that we should fear China the most. It practically owns the dollar, as soon as it decides to pull the plug, the dollar value will plummet.

"Gays should be hanged, says High Ranked Iranian minister"

Homosexuals deserve to be executed or tortured and possibly both, an Iranian leader told British MPs during a private meeting at a peace conference, The Times has learned.

Mohsen Yahyavi is the highest-ranked politician to admit that Iran believes in the death penalty for homosexuality after a spate of reports that gay youths were being hanged.

First , for your listening enjoyment , click on this >>>>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAkfHShATKY

And while you're listening , consider this.. . . .Did You Know That Yahoo Profits By Suspending You ? - Yep , they do !
Yahoo suspends your account and your privilege of using that account , but. . . .. . but Yahoo also stores that info and therefore misinforms advertisers as to the total number of 'readers' or in this case 'users' . That's why you get things like 'Best Answer' notifications long after your account has been suspended . Anyone with a suspended account knows what I'm talking about . You'll continue getting things like 'best answer' long after your account has been suspended . But most of you didn't understand why . Neither did I for the longest time , until recently .

. . . . . . Now the king told the boogie men
You have to let that raga drop
The oil down the desert way
Has been shakin' to the top
The sheik he drove his Cadillac
He went a' cruisin' down the ville
The muezzin was a' standing
On the radiator grille

CHORUS
Sharif don't like it
Rockin' the casbah
Rock the casbah
The shareef don't like it
Rock the Casbah
Rock the Casbah

By order of the prophet
We ban that boogie sound
Degenerate the faithful
With that crazy Casbah sound
But the Bedouin they brought out
The electric kettle drum
The local guitar picker
Got his guitar picking thumb
As soon as the sherif
Had cleared the square
They began to wail

CHORUS

Now over at the temple
Oh! They really pack 'em in
The in crowd say it's cool
To dig this chanting thing
But as the wind changed direction
The temple band took five
The crowd caught a wiff
Of that crazy Casbah jive

CHORUS

The king called up his jet fighters
He said you better earn your pay
Drop your bombs between the minarets
Down the Casbah way

As soon as Sharif was
Chauffeured outta there
The jet pilots tuned to
The cockpit radio blare

As soon as Sharif was
Outta their hair
The jet pilots wailed

CHORUS

He thinks it's not kosher
Fundamentally he can't take it.
You know he really hates it.

The current Iraq War is now longer than WW2 and counting, tens of thousands of American Troops have been WIA, Wounded In Action, and almost 4000 have been KIA, Killed in Action, this is all after the Bush Administration declared Victor at Sea, disposed of the mighty dictator and drove America so far into the red that Socialism is beginning to look like a rose bush, bun intended.
So, NeoCon's, why would you want a second act? You have already hit the jackpot for unintended results, they are the one that are eating us up. Oh, and this Iraq War is not going to come out ok. We can't afford to buy everyone who hates us in Iraq! Unless maybe, you Neo Cons would like to raise taxes? Oh, maybe you could raise taxes on the poor, what do you think?

seriously, they want you to believe that doing so will hurt on troops. In fact with no additional funding any commanding officer will not put his troops in undue harm's way. meaning would the military really send our troops into battle with no ammo? of course not, so all this talk about being unabled to withhold funding is all BS from both parties, right?

Why do Americans let the religion of a candidate define the candidate?
Just because they're atheist, jew, mormon, catholic, whatever, doesn't mean that they are going to force that religion on us. We don't mind that politicians have low morals, commit adultery, etc., but we do mind what religion they are.
And depending on the religion, we immediately slap stereotypes on that candidate, often misconstrued or incorrect assumptions about that person or religion.
Am I the only one seeing something wrong with this picture?
