Self implode after all these years of builshit?

2006-10-06 18:21:14 · 12 answers · asked by Mr. Dissent 1

DO you think that the Republican party and mindset is hugely different today among it's most well known leaders than back in the 1950's and 1960's, when the party headliners were people like Ike, Goldwater and Nixon...or do you think the party is of a similar mindset?

Also, do you feel that the Republican party sold out to the Neo-cons during the 1980's to now?

Explain your answer if you like...

http://news.mongabay.com/2006/1002-amazon.html

At a summit this week in Mexico, David Miliband, Britain's Environment Secretary, will propose a plan to "privatize" the Amazon to allow the world's largest rainforest to be bought by individuals and groups, according to a report in The Telegraph newspaper online .

The scheme, which has been endorsed by Prime Minister Tony Blair, would seek to protect the region's biodiversity while mitigating greenhouse gas emissions to fight global warming.

According to The Telegraph the plan would "involve the creation of an international body to buy the rainforest before setting up a trust to sell trees" and buyers would become "stake-holders" in the rainforest.

ARE YOU FOR OR AGAINST IT?

The current international arrangement has the United States comfortably positioned as the world's policeman. The world, just like any community, must have a (tantamount) peace officer, of course, or else Saddam Husseins and Hitlers will rule most or all of the world. The US policeman system obviously does not work now. How do we find our way out of this mess? It is obviously a mess of a situation. What is the answer? Forget the lousy ten points. Here's your opportunity to really impress all of us with your intelligence!!!

Talk about a joke! If Foley were a democrat, the ACLU would be defending him! Pelosi tries to take the moral highroad, but she backed the reelection of Gary Condit after the scandal and disappearance of his secret lover. SICK and HYPOCRITICAL

I'm getting SOOO sick of the back and forth about Foley. Republicans are saying it happened in the Democratic party 20 years ago so you are being hypocritical, the dems are saying, quit bringing that up like it shouldn't matter! Now, my question being, along with several others... How can you NOT see the hypocrisy in this situation... SECONDLY if the tables are turned in 20 years would you bring up the Foley scandal and would the Republicans be saying, shut the hell up, that's old news? It should NEVER be old news. What happened, HAPPENED. They are BOTH disgusting creatures, but WHY THE HELL can't you Democrats see that your guy HAD SEX! Maybe foley given the chance might have as well... but it didn't get that far....And Foley actually RESIGNED! PLease I'm begging democrats to say something original this time, cause I'm really asking a question... all this is is double standards, ADMIT IT!!!! challenging isn't it?

This is un-real.

You've got-to watch this CLIP from Kieth Olbermann's thursday evening broadcast on MSNBC. He absolutely Swears Out President Bush.

Its PURE liberalism V.S Neo-con greatness!

http://www.infowars.com/articles/bush/bush_would_sell_america_out_preserve_gop_power.htm

-Speaking of the new "torture" Bill, Olbermann concludes his broadcast with (To President Bush)..... "Do not throw this country's principles away because your lies have made it such that you can no longer differentiate between the terrorists and the critics."

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Has Olbermann gone overboard, or is he speaking for America?
