In truth, Bush hasnt really done anything wrong. In fact I think he has gotten it mostly right. Seems like the only truth we can spread about Bush is making jokes about his grammar. Just doesnt feel right to me. I have always been staunch liberal but somehow it just feels "yucky". I am getting tired of whining for whinings sake. Seems like our Dem leaders just want us to hate Bush no matter what. Why? I used to feel guilty and naughty when I thought like this but now it seems redeeming almost "cleansing" in a way. I hope my liberal friends dont hate me and disown me like they did Lieberman but if we could all be honest, I mean truly honest I think we would agree our side isnt offering us anything. Its going to be really hard to look some conservative acquaintances in the eye and say " you were right" but I think I am going to do it. It doesnt feel right fighting for lies anymore.

I am not asking if torture is right, wrong, humane or inhumane - I'm not asking if it should or shouldn't be used in our war on terror.

It just seems to me that if the information gained by torture is never reliable, as many people have indicated in their answers, then it wouldn't even be an issue because no one would torture anyone if they knew the information they obtained was bogus.

Obviously, when these people try and validate their answer by the WMD information we initially gathered from captured insurgents, they don't seem to realize that these terrorists really believed that Saddam had these weapons - and, hense, they were telling the "truth" as best they knew it.

There are a lot of 3rd parties out there.

The libertarians are the largest, and have won a few minor elections. They are the exception.

But what about the obscure 3rd parties, that have all these great sounding patriotic names?

As it ever dawned on them that scaring people to death doesn't work? As an example, the Prohibition Party, wants to legislate morality and ban all alcohol, the Constition Party just wants guns everywhere and are lead by Pat Buchannan wanna be's, etc.

Of course, they hate gov't funding......but they ALL want federal matching funds! Hypocrites.

I'm not against 3 parties. But unless they quit being extremists, they will never win. If they are so smart, why can't they get elected?

My question is, why do obscure 3rd parties have patriotic names, when they are nothing more than extremists?

It gets a little old. Obviously Bush has made some mistakes. But the media almost always casts Bush in a negative light while showing democratic politicians in a glowing white light.

Take Hurricane Katrina for instance. Ray Nagin can sit around doing nothing while a hurricane wipes out his town knowing that there were 500 school busses sitting in a parking lot that could have evacuated people and then go on TV and make racist comments about "chocolate cities" and the media pretty much gives him a pass.

Bush on the other hand, who warned people 2 days before to evacuate, doesn't personally fly down and hold the floodwaters back himself gets beaten by the media for over a year.

It's time for a big 10 foot tall wall along the Mexican border! Complete with guards, guns, dogs, and lots of barbed wire!!

Of course, it would look just like the BERLIN WALL! And we all know how effective that was! We can be just like them!

No need for wall across Canada.....they are WHITE!

Walls haven't been a good defense since the middle ages, but who cares?

Even though one build can build a ladder to get over it, or dig under it, or cut a hole through it, or just walk around it....it makes no difference.......walls worked good 1000 years ago....and they'll work now.

Next, we can build an ATLANTIC WALL, just like Hitler! That was just as successful as the Berlin Wall!

Do you honestly believe that poor or elderly people are too stupid to get one? Or do you honestly believe that they can not afford the 10-20 bucks to buy one every (what is it?) four years?

I have taught high school with over 90% of my students being from poverty level. They claim they can't afford anything, but they always seem to have:
TV with cable/sat.
playstation/game console
Enough cash to buy pop/chips/etc every day at school.

I know this point mainly applies to my students, but it just always comes up in my mind when I hear people say requiring an ID to vote is wrong!

This is also my point when I read an article stating that dead people voted.
