To lie by omition is also a lie, even when not spoken if you keep the truth secret it is also a lie.

Don't we lie to our children when we tell them about Santa Claus, The tooth Fairy, The easter bunny and so on. You don't even have to go to Genesis, and there is no original sin, if you mean that a baby is born with it, and will go to hell unless they are baptised within so much time of birth or die before being baptiased as in the catholic religion, that is a lie. Because to obtain the Kingdom of our heavenly Father you have to become as innocent as a child, and love unconditionally and trust unconditionally as a child does.
