The idea is this: the government starts a panic by poisoning their own people and blame it on terrorists. Then the government takes away the rights of the people in order "to protect them."

Then after many years a rebel, basing himself on Guy Fawkes decides to take down the government for its crimes against its citizens.

Its relevance is based on the "war on terror" and things like Bush's comments about American's having "too many Freedoms." Also, it is originally based on Margaret Thatchers England of the 1980's.

Extremely worth owning! It's got the feel almost of George Orwell, only a bit simplistic by comparison. Love the dark cinematography!

I enjoyed it very much. I was very surprised when I saw it opening weekend. I live in a very conservative town and it was the only film I have seen that the audience gave a standing ovation at the end. That really surprised me. I thought it was very well done.

Well i haven't seen the movie, but i hear it's really good, and the closest to that, that i've seen is when they imitated it on The Simpsons. (and that was still a good story).
