My ancestors were white and Quakers, they helped many slaves escape to the North, they also bought the slaves then gave them their freedom and helped them with housing, food, tools and educated them so they would have a better life. They were very wealthy at one point but as a result of their actions helping slaves my ancestors land and homes were taken by the state and sold bit by bit, they were fined exorbinant fines, jailed, ridiculed, beaten, harassed and ostracized from the community and still they helped free and educate slaves. In less than a generation they lost all their wealth, all their land and standing in the community and were left with very little.....my question is do my ancestors deserve reparations even though they are white?

I keep seeing people say that Clinton was impeached, or Reagan was impeached. No president was impeached...even Nixon resigned before he could be impeached. Now, Got It?

Now will you conservative liars finally admit that we should never have been there.

Iraq is much worse off now than if we had just left Hussein in power.

The damage we did in that country may never be repaired.

How come there freedom is full of corruption? They don't want to take responsabilities like school, college, or being a father. If they wanted freedom why did they do this?

I am looking for direct quotations from internationally accepted documents that state Israel is required to return Lebanese prisoners. Please no opinions or comments on the current situation. I am just looking for (a) quotation(s) or refrence to international agreements. Further clarification: I am talking about UN resolutions in relation to 1559 or earlier.

If the UN had their way all legal responsible gun owners would lose this right. They even have a statue of a gun with a knot tied in its barrel to signify that all guns should be taken from the hands of civilians (whether they have committed a crime or not).

Christianity is semitic tradition, distilled from a slow stewing of greek, latin and jewish ideaologies, and then double fermented with centuries of expansionism and catholic imperialism. But, and the big rub is, when you had the chance for a reformation and a little bit of cultural transition, you abused it

By and large we opted for market forces and liberalism , throwing in humanism to make sense of it all, and you kept us trapped by godly fear and brutal inquisitions.

In Britain, we are a liberal democracy, thriving on freedom of expression and individualism, and all though we moan about it, it's the best country on earth. We do roughly what we like, when we like, and according to global opinion, we are actually some of the nicest people about. Even when a few irish/muslims get together to throw bombs about the place, we go figure and be nice to them

so...our girls like short skirts, the guys like a beer or two and our government is run by gays...religion? Pah
