Hezbollah has to be disarmed or destroyed. There cannot be a situation that a terrorist group is in charge of parts of another country. Same thing with Hamas.
Let me remind you how this current situation began:
BUT FOR Hezbollah going on Israeli soil, killing 8 and kidnapping 2 soldiers, Israel would not be in Lebanon, waging war to destroy Hezbollah and its stronghold. Israel left Lebanon 6 years ago, and during this time Lebanon allowed Hezbollah (with the support of Syria and Iran) to build large munition with rockets pointing to Israel. That cannot be allowed, period.
Lebanon has been occupied and controlled by Syria for decades. The beautiful Lebanon, the French Riviera of the Middle East was destroyed in the Lebanese civil war in the 60's and 70's. The Christian minority that ruled Lebanon and brought it to its splendor has been overtaken by the vilolent Islamic extremists.
Hezbollah is accepted in parts of Lebanon because the population truly has absolutely no say and no choice in the matter. If you oppose Hezbollah, you die. The Lebanese Prime Minister Harriri was assassinated for opposing the Syrian occupation. The current Lebanese government is helpless.
Israel wants peace and recognition of its existence. The Muslim extremists, including Syria and Iran regimes want Israel wiped off the face of the earth, and have repeatedly said so. Israel has absolutely no interest in claiming Lebanon, or any other Arab country.
The Muslim world has missed every opportunity to make peace with Israel. When a Muslim country and brave leader did make peace with Israel (the late Egyptian President Anwar al-Sadat), he was assassinated by Iranian-backed group.
It's time for Muslims to take accountability for their religion and culture. Stop spinning, and address the fact that the Muslim culture is one of the most oppressive and violent cultures, against its own people, and certainly against other cultures.
For those who believe that the extremist element in Islam is small, the numbers are staggering. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in this world. Lets take a very liberal view that only a very small percentage of Muslims are exterme, while the rest of the Muslim world is very peaceful. So if only 10% of Muslims have extreme point of views, and may be a threat, and must be dealt with, meaning dealing with 120 million Muslims! How about 1%? Then you must deal with 12 million Muslims. How about 1/10 of a percent? Then you must deal with 1.2 million Muslims. The numbers are staggering! How do you propose dealing with even the "very low" figures of 1.2 million Muslim extremists?
Israel must be given the opportunity to continue the work to destroy the terrorist group Hezbollah up to its leader. It would be to the benefit of Lebanon, Israel, the Middle East, and the World to rid of Hezbollah, Hamas, the Syrian and Iranian regime. It must be done to finally have a chance for peace in the region.

Build big wall around whole region. When all countries in region are actually serious about peace, turn the water, utilities and trade back on. In the meantime, duke it out and leave the rest of us out of it.
I support Israel, but I think you can make a case that all the religiously driven countries over there are partially responsible for the mess. So let's keep out of it until they are ready to grow up and behave like adults.

This is a war of puppeteers. Israel and Hezbollah are the puppets, America and Iran the puppeteers.

I once heard someone say, "the hottest fires of hell are reserved for those who would do evil in the name of God." I think parents should keep this in mind when they teach their children to hate others who do not share their faith, or even their particular version of their own faith. I suspect God is weeping over what is happening in the word today.

Hizbollah has made no friends by its declared policy to eradicate Israel and its continuing efforts to do so. My take is that Hizbollah should be exterminated, just as we exterminate rats.
