They are in real trouble since life is simple for terrorist organizations until they 1) achieve their objective (now what do we do?); 2) have to go mainstream and act civilized- loss of absolute power. See the PLO and soon Hamas for a great example.
It's pretty cool to be your own mini-army, with no civil responsiblities to suck up the milliions of dollars being fed to you and a crisis mentality to keep the troops motivated. Real life is complicate and suddenly you find you're the creator of problems and/or have to worry about what your people think. That's no fun!
As you can see, the kind of did win (Israel was driven from Lebanon) but they still came out to attack them. If they didn't, funders would go elsewhere as would their crazy people.

I think they have. Before the war, the support they lebanese had for them was decreasing and was weak. Now they have at least 80% of lebanese support. They have become very popular in the Arab world and beyond. Even many Sunni Arabs put their differences aside and are pro-Hezbollah (shias). I've seen people in places like south Africa, Malaysia, India, Moscow, ..carrying Hezbollah flags during protests. While before the war they were barely known worldwide. It will be more difficult to defeat it now. As they renewed the passion for resistance in the ME. I will not be surprised if more groups around the ME start to develop as a result of this war.

I'm afraid Hezbollah has won. Public opinion in that part of the world has skyrocketed in their favor. Israel's disproportionate reaction & at least perceived disregard for civilian casualties has assured this conflict will live on even if there is a ceasefire. While Israel claims they are defending themselves against terrorists, they are creating more by reinforcing the perception of them as a US-supported bully.

If Hez wins (meaning they achieve their goals), then Israel will be destroyed.
If Hez wins (meaning they avoided defeat), they will remain an armed terrorist group. They will once again infiltrate southern Lebanon and begin to fire more advanced Iranian-supplied missiles at Israeli population centers.

Well, since Hezbollah has always insisted that it is their primary goal, then Israel would no longer exist and every Jew in the Middle East would be dead.
