Nick Berg was beheaded in Iraq two years ago and his death was famously recorded on video complete with the sound of his dying. The tape was sent to news outlets and was broadcast across the world.

The horror was stunning, especially to Western sensibilities. We don't do such things. They do, and they did, and they relish it.

Zarqawi was not only behind such killings, he was reportedly the one who killed Nick Berg on camera. So now that the killer is dead, how does Nick's father react?

Incredibly, Michael Berg says he finds no satisfaction in that. He says he's sad ''that another human being had to die.'' He tells the media he's ''learned to forgive'' and has empathy for Zarqawi's family because of their loss.

In fact, he doesn't blame Zarqawi for his son's death or for the thousands killed in bombings instigated by al-Qaida under Zarqawi's direction. He blames President Bush and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld.

Yes, it's all George and Don's fault.

The majority of the US and the world know he lied about WMD to start this illegal war in Iraq. Even more Republicans are turning against him. his approval rating is the lowest of any president in american history with a low of 27%. About 3000 Brave American Soldiers have lost their lives for no reason. Almost 100,000 iraqi civilians killed. More than 20,000 american soldiers mamed and wounded. Nearly 300,000 Iraqi civilians wounded and mamded. Bush cant tell the UN where his so called WMD is in iraq. The same WMD Bush said he knew exactly where they were. If bush is innocent than why not let a war crimes tribunal be the judge of that. If he did nothing wrong then he has nothing to worry about. I just dont think he have to wait till the November elections to impeach him.

Has anyone thought about what makes people so desperate that they will kill themselves to kill others? Would it be prudent to address the underlying causes of what drives people to be terrorists?

Terrorism is a relatively new phenomenon - maybe a few decades old.

Really, do Hillary, Boxer, Moore, Pelosi (sp?), Kennedy, and the rest really stand for you? Or do some of you even feel like they are too far into left field?

Most industry experts believe that a few 100 billion dollars could easily be enough to research and develop renewable energy sources and technologies. Instead Cheney/bush are using it to kill 100s of thousands of innocent people and destabilize the whole mideast.

If we had new energy technologies, we wouldn't even care about the oil in the mideast.

I am sick of it. I am just as American as anyone. From the conservative stance on a lot of issues, I would guess I'm a lot more patriotic than the people calling me UnAmerican. I believe in the ideas this country was founded on: free speech, seperation of church and state, etc. I believe in our Constitution and I sure think it's more than a damn piece of paper. It is the NeoCons that seem to want to change what America stands for. Are you all parrots who just repeat what your told and believe what you're told to believe? Don't you have a brain? I love America. I support the troops. I don't support the war because it is WRONG. Disagree? Well, that's your right. It's America after all.

Hillary Clinton remains for the war in Iraq, for so-called "free trade" agreements and for the death penalty. She supported the notorious 2001 bankruptcy bill, "has never been for single-payer health insurance" and has worked hard to undermine a host of other progressive positions.

If you are a progressive minded person Hillary is not for you.
