Probably not in your lifetime. You can always "successfully run", but for actually becoming President, the words we hear as kids (anybody can grow up to be President) are just not true. Abe Lincoln, Harry Truman and the like are exceptions. So you can have the hope, but not the reality. If you are independently wealthy, socialize with elite upper crust families from 'old money', and have connections with the powers that be in DC, you can be a real contender. It doesn't hurt to have wealthy Saudi friends, either. Just ask George.

President of what? The country or senior class? You can hope for anything you want but unless you are an incredible candidate with a perfect record starting from 6th grade all the way through law school and several lessor elected offices including a mayorial, congressional, senatorial and gubanitorial post, hope is about the closest you're going to get.

You certainly do if that is the only (or at least prime) drawback.

2 recent examples of poor to middle class people becoming president are Bill Clinton and Gerald Ford. Then, of course, there is Harry Truman.

I'm sure there are several others as well.

Forget the old "you can do whatever you put your mind to" adage...
If you're not from a rich family, you probably won't have a shot in Hades. Best chance would be to do excellent in school and find some financing for a degree in Law afterwards. Then you would have to be one charismatic mofo and try out public service...

You can always have hope. Maybe it's not richness, but success in general that propels someone above the crowd. There are still folks from humble beginnings that work hard and make their way up the ladder. Maybe they stall out at senator level, but I have to hope that they make it farther.

Good luck. Start overachieving.
