Or do you think he'll get off his lazy *ss and actually do something for the citizens of New Orleans this time other than turn down State and Federal help before it's too late?

Why he was re-elected is beyond me. NOLA will get what it paid for.

I am going to be criticized as being insensitive, but here's my $0.02 anyway.

How dumb are you if you are waiting for the government to tell you to leave the area when there is a class 5 hurricane heading straight for your town that happens to be below sea level??? And how can you be surprised that a house built directly on the beach on stilts to prevent flooding gets destroyed in a bad storm.

I blame the liberals for creating a "victims mentality" in this country. No one is ever responsible for their actions, "They never told me to leave, its Bush's fault for not telling me to leave."

Sermon over. Sorry. Had to vent it, feeling better now.

Too bad the governor of Louisiana isn't the president's brother. Then maybe the federal help would have gotten there right away, like it did in FL when they got kissed by a couple of little storms in '04.

We all know that those redneck sissies could have never come out as well as they did otherwise. They got their double wides back up and running right away. And then they have the nerve to condemn the unfortunate people of New Orleans. Gotta love that Blame the Victim mentality that the conservatives love to embrace.

But I suppose George owed Jeb- after all, it was his crooked *ss voting machines that handed his big brother the oval office twice.

Also beyond me why they'd reelect a guy that was so incompetent & unprepared while mayor of the most veulnerable place on earth to hurricane damage. You want him to turn down state/federal aid? I don't know the details I guess, but that doesn't make alot of sense on the surface. Far as the superdome, I understand the thing is pretty screwed up & I'd just assume they tear it down & let the Saints change names & move now rather than in two years when they're broke & New Orleans is still elss than half the size it was before Katrina. Guess that's just me though.

That would take Waaaaay too much effort. Maybe he ought to just go ahead, get in front of the cameras, and start blaming Bush now, before the damn thing hits.

Besides, the people who trashed the Dome are already in better quarters than they were before Katrina hit. But hey, maybe this time they'll really hit the jackpot. All those free trailers and rooms at the Hilton might be wiped out- then we taxpayers can foot the bill and put them up at the frigging Waldorf to make up for being such racist *ssholes and not doing more for them the first time.

Yeah- that and everything the first poster said.

Maybe he'll have another "melt down". Who knows, but the silly folks re-elected him, so I don't want to hear any whining this year.
