Most industry experts believe that a few 100 billion dollars could easily be enough to research and develop renewable energy sources and technologies. Instead Cheney/bush are using it to kill 100s of thousands of innocent people and destabilize the whole mideast.

If we had new energy technologies, we wouldn't even care about the oil in the mideast.

After countless certifications from all levels of US Gov't, and even from Bush himself, some people still can't understand that Iraq or Saddam had absolutely nothing to do with US terrorist attacks or the events of 9/11. Depressing that such a simple fact can't be understood.

If "experts" were correct in that renewable energy sources could be devloped by just spending the money I would argue that energy companies would be pouring money into these programs because they're the ones with the most to gain.

Of course your line of argument is absurd, thinking that simply spending money on something automatically solves the problem ignores the science behind the problem you're referring to, but promoting throwing money at things not proven to work is certainly something expected from a wacko liberal like you. No offense.

I don't think wasted is a good word. Plus their goal is not to kill 100's of thousands and destabilize the mideast. That makes NO sense at all. Everyone who knew a darn thing knew this would take a long time to finish. And hopefully when it is the mideast will finally be a little more stable, because it never has been. Whats the point in looking to the future if we could die tomorrow. We have to protect ourselves first.

No, you may not care about oil in the Mid-East but it wouldn't matter anyway. You'd be too paranoid to leave your home because of the rampant terrorism going on in the US. Don't assume that because everyone tells you the war in Iraq is a failure, that it is. How do you know what the US would be like if we weren't in Iraq and Afgahnistan right now? How do you know that bus bombings and airplane hijackings wouldn't be commonplace?

I think it's clear we didn't invade Iraq for the oil. Have you bought any gas lately? There isn't exactly a flood of oil coming out of the middle East.

Patented pollution free electric power has been all over our Gov. 1,000,000 mega watts from a single power plant is possible. 100% clean fuel-less elelctric power that out produces any Nuclear power plant and even Fusion in the far off future.Millions of high wage jobs to build electric power plants. Millions more jobs to build electric roads to use the clean power for electric cars and trucks. The Gov doesn't want renewable electric power. They just want to PIMP the problem for photo op and news clips. This was on Al Gores desk while he was VP! I got a letter saying "I wish you the best of luck and I'm glad to see someone else is working on our energy problem. Newt Gingrich after an hour meeting in his DC office said "I'm going to lend this my full support" a big nothing. He wanted to help sell it to Ga. Power. Ga. Power would not even discuss building a power plant and wanted to buy me out for .01c on the dollar to develope and patent this. So did Southern Cal. Edison .01c on the dollar! When Newt found I wouldn't sell for a song his help vaporized. Mason Wiggins of the Science Space and Technology Subcommittee the guy Newt relies on for energy matters said" this appears to be the secret we've been looking for" this from a guy who knows tech! He took it right to people he knows in the DOE. When management found out the power plant had come in the back door, after being there for 3 weeks, they threw it out. They mailed it back in an OPEN envelope! I was told to sent to NIST they said 5 years to get back to the DOE. The DOE said another 5 years before anything would happen. I might get $40,000 and a ton of paper work after ten years! 2 nations and 1US state pay not tax the residents. Kuwait pays $58,000 y, no rent, utilites, phone, hospital, or income tax bills! I know it's oil! Oil is just 1 of thousands of commodities. With all the commodities in your state why aren't you getting paid? With all the resources of the Feds why aren't they paying 50 times better than Alaska. Wtih all 3 systems working right now; why aren't the Feds taking the best from each system and doing better than Kuwaities at paying US! EVER hear any official talk about any of these? Our Gov has known Kuwait was doing this for 30 years! They still lie about why taxes are needed and PIMP the energy problem. Until we vote out ALL the DEMS and REPS nothing will change! They have been lieing for so long they now believe their own lies!

Because eventually the sun will burn out and we will all die from that. Why don't we spend it on building a new sun. Now that is long term environmentalism for you. I am the first "sun-hugger".
