I worked hard at a job that paid better than 6.OO$ an hour but being a single mom it was still hard to do certain things on my own, such as medical, My husband did pay child support but that went straight to the state! I was getting the TANF, He NEVER missed a payment! And would even give me another 100$ because I didn't get the money he sent they kept it! Which i am not complaining about!! I had the help I needed but I also paid my on taxes and worked hard to do it!! I never once sat on my rear like some do and let someone else pay for what i could pay myself but the things I did need help with is what I am very grateful for, such as my son's surgery!!!! I just did't understand how they are still doing it when I am no longer on asst. and he paid his support every month plus they kept close to 14,000$ My entire taxes and it not be paid off. I haven't been on asst. since the end of dec. For the people that do expect free rides that is diff. I am not one of them

Upon Applying For Social Assistant/ Welfare ??
(Not children just the legal asker)
Or maybe after reports of misuse of money?

Some work places ask us to do this upon hiring or random Urine Testing.

The Government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. and distribution of my taxes to
people who don't have to pass a urine test.

Because Some of us have to pass one to earn it for them…….??

Please understand – I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.

Could you imagine how much money the Government /s would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance cheque…….?

Thank you very much.

we should be mass-producing our specialty...instead we're slowly assembling a pathetic cache at best...a real arsenal would have warehouse after warehouse packed to every square foot so the roaches get claustrophobic...We know from Japan that 1 isn't always enough...and we know we need spares, lots and lots of spares...and some extras incase our spares dont work...i'm for the candidate who wants to make bombs faster than kit-kat bars...because it's like my dad always said..."a man aint a man unless he has plenty of nukes"...so do your part...for all of us...for our children...for their children...tell your congressman/woman to step up production...nuclear-life-saving-funbomb production...and when you see a child smile, you'll know it was all worth it. =)

Most of the major F-ups in our government seem to be career politicians.

Should we place hard and fast limits on political careers and just how should we configure these limits if any?

In 1992, the trade deficit was 31 billion dollars

By 2001, the trade deficit was 435 billion dollars.

Why did Clinton send all those American jobs overseas ?

404 billion in American made products, replaced by foreign products.

I mean something major, like "Day after Tomorrow" or "Outbreak", bad. Do you think it would level the playing field and bring us all back together? Or do you think it would make the divide between rich and poor, majority and minority, religious and non-religious more pronounced?

I would not normally put this on the net, but I can't respond to him and I thought you may like to add your 2 cents.

I have a name left over from the service I would be tempted to use and it starts with a P! But I gave up swearing after the service whwn I noticed every other word was F!

I had made the comment that Eisenhower and Nixon got us into Vietnam, and I guess he thinks I am not telling the truth!

My father was in Vietnam from 1958 to 1960, and I know LBJ was not president then. Though I do agree, like Bush, LBJ lied about the Gulf of Tonkin to be able to commit combat troops! The reality remains however, US Air Force pilots were flying aircraft with South Vietnamese markings long before that, and US Special Forces were in combat as well!

Why is everyone blaming China rather than the manufacturing companies, who most probably bribed and blackmailed officials for better profit?

It seems that Multinational Companies are becoming more powerful than nation states.

"There are American officials who consider Iraq as if it were one of their villages, for example Hillary Clinton and Carl Levin. They should come to their senses," al-Maliki said at a news conference.

Obamas people stated that hillary was obsessed with the "GOP attack" team and all that served to accomplish was to continue to divide the country.

Do you think hillary wants a country divided? What would be the purpose of pitting us against each other?

Seems to me she is obsessed with power and control, and if I knew of an attack team I would see if they needed my help, because there is no attack team, so is she delusional as well as being an obesessed megalomaniac?

The cons keep arguing clinton had OSB and did nothing. Well gee, just how many times has Bush let OSB escape?

Seems to me after 911 capturing OSB is more critical for bush and gang. however:

"And so it has gone for six years. American intelligence officials interviewed by NEWSWEEK ruefully agree that the hunt to find bin Laden has been more a game of chance than good or "actionable" intelligence. Since bin Laden slipped away from Tora Bora in December 2001, U.S. intelligence has never had better than a 50-50 certainty about his whereabouts. "There hasn't been a serious lead on Osama bin Laden since early 2002," says Bruce Riedel, who recently retired as a South Asia expert at the CIA. "What we're doing now is shooting in the dark in outer space. The chances of hitting anything are zero.""

when the senate held a recent all-night session with regards to the Iraq war, it was reported that the president planned to veto their decision to begin pulling troops out of Iraq by April 2008. This announcement of the president's veto was apparently made prior to the session even being held. That being said, why did the senate even have to hold the session in order to attempt to achieve the necessary 67 votes if it was clear that the president would veto the decision anyway? That was basically saying that the session was nothing more than a mere joke, and a waste of time on the part of the senate. Would it not have made more sense for the senate to just be allowed to attempt to override the iminent veto, since they already knew it was coming, without having to humiliate themselves with the previous session?
