In Rwanda, she writes, “rape and sexual assault were committed on a mass scale, tactical weapons in the genocidal violence that raged there in 1994.” Yet she also notes that Bill later “publicly expressed regret that our country and the international community had not done more to stop the horror” of perhaps one million dead. The program, Triumph of Evil, noted that the Clinton administration even hesitated to label it genocide

But as support for the war fades,
demand for yellow ribbons has collapsed.

Magnet America, the largest manufacturer of the product, has seen sales fall from a peak of 1.2m in August 2004 to about 4,000 a month and now has an unsold stockpile of about 1m magnets.

As it stands, anyone who is old enough to vote is automatically allowed to do so provided they aren't insane or a criminal, but many people don't bother to exercise this right. If one had to actively serve or benefit society in some way in order to earn the right to vote, would that eradicate the apathy? Would people really fight for the issues they care about instead of sitting at home and complaining?

How would a government even decide whether a citizen had earned the right to vote? Should they pass an exam? Do some community service?

It is a well known historical fact that the Arab & Persian world has atempted to destroy Israel on at least 4 occassions. The Jews have also made Israel an industrial power house and made the desert blossom. Isn't it emascualting to know they have done better with the land in 60 years than the Arabs in 2,000 years?

The Bullingdon Club, membership of which requires you to be very rich, is an Oxford University Club whose main claim to fame is their trips to local restaurants which they then totally trash for fun.

Having very rich Daddy's they can afford to (usually) buy the silence of the restaurant owner.

Is someone who was once a member of this club fit to be our Prime Minister?

I will be adding more to this question in the "Add Details" link as I have more than 1000 characters to type here.

From the moment I watched the towers fall I knew something about 9/11 was not right. Buildings that tall do not just fall in their footprints, period. it just cannot happen based on the law of averages. let's forget all the technical details and just stick with common sense here.

Of course I am of the belief that our own government is responsible for 9/11 and the wars in the Middle east are completely unwarranted. But this is NOT important right now.

What is important is all of the information available that points directly to the real possibility that our own government has been constructing concentration style work camps for quite a while now. It seems unbelievable that evil on that level could happen here in the USA, but there is a LOT, a tremendous amount, of information available that points directly to that very real possibility. In fact, its a probability.

This is how the closed-minded bush-supporters think. It makes me sick because I hate to see such intolerance from any human being.

seriously! what is going on in this country? People go to prison on very little evidence everyday. The people have forgotten that this is supposed to be a free country, and you must be proven guilty, not just look like you are guilty or assuming that you are guilty since the cops arrested you.

one of the biggest industries and quickly expanding is the field of law enforcement/criminal justice! Its as if they want us to be incarcerated!

You are just one false move away from being thrown in prison...or maybe you will just be charged with something you didn't do? nothing surprises me anymore with the U.S. Government, unless we would pull out of iraq. That would surprise me. Or, say, if bush resigned out of remorse for his many many sins. that would be a shock! bush having remorse!?

if you are arrested for something, and you have no money to make bail, you wait in jail for days, weeks, moths, and in some cases, a year or more until a court date. By then, if you are able to prove that you are innocent, even with the "public defender" (whom usually are trying to become prosecutors-thus not caring whether you win or lose your case), you have just wasted all of that time you waited to go to court because the government made a mistake. Wow. just think about that for a moment. it happens to thousands of people every day.

GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT

This is not an idea that free countries incorporate.

To begin with, he was friends with CHARLES KEATON and even supported him during his LINCOLN SAVINGS AND LOAN SCANDLE(where alot of AMERICANS lost their retirements and KEATON became even richer.

Secondly he is for ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. It is rumoured He has gone so far as to remove people from their farm land and given it Illegals. Apparently he is ok with American tax payers paying for the health care, education and other benifits, but yet the illegals don't pay into our economy. When he met with the MINUTE MEN( PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO PROTECT THE BORDER, Mr Mccain wouldnt even talk to them. (makes you wonder)

third, apparently its ok for his wife to try and purchase perscription drugs using fake perscriptions cause when she got caught,THE CASE NEVER WENT TO TRIAL.

And last, and this is my favorite. This was actually written by a yahoo answers member whos name I don't remember. This was his answer when some one asked HOW DID MCCAIN BETRAY FELLOW POWs..: Best Answer - Chosen Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

What is the real story behind his days as a POW? The U.S. Veteran Dispatch had an article in June of 1996 entitled "POW Songbird McCain Wrongly Described As A Hero." It recounted numerous instances where John McCain violated the Military Coda of Conduct, which specifically orders American personnel to give the enemy no information other than name, rank, serial number, and date of birth. It requires that they accept no favors from the enemy, and to make no written or oral statement disloyal to the United States.

The fact is, in exchange for better medical treatment, McCain violated this code four days after being captured on Oct. 26, 1967. In a U.S. News and World Report interview dated May 14, 1973, two months after he was released, McCain admitted that he exchanged military information in exchange for spending six weeks in a hospital normally reserve for North Vietnamese Military officers.

U.S. government records show that less than two weeks after he was taken to the hospital, Hanoi's press began quoting specific military information, including the name of the aircraft carrier on which McCain had been based, information about the location of rescue ships and the order of which his attack was supposed to take place. The records demonstrate, according to the Dispatch article that McCain continued to collaborate with the Communists after he recovered from his injuries. He did a number of propaganda broadcasts that were aimed at destroying the moral of American servicemen fighting in the jungles of South Vietnam, On June 4, 1969, a U.S. Wire Service story reported one of McCain's broadcasts.

The service reported "Hanoi has aired a broadcast in which the pilot son of the U.S. Commander in the Pacific, Adm. John McCain purportedly admits to having bombed civilian targets in North Vietnam and praised medical treatment he has received since being taken prisoner."

McCain committed other breaches of the Code of Conduct by meeting with and giving interviews to foreign news reporters and anti American delegations.

McCain admits to talking with numerous high-ranking North Vietnamese leaders, including General Vo Nguyen Giap, their Minister of Defense.

He also did a cozy interview over coffee, oranges, and cake wish a Cuban psychiatrist, which took place in the Hanoi office of the Committee for Foreign Cultural Relations.

He failed to "evade answering questions to the utmost of his ability;" by actually conversing with his interviewer in Spanish.

Have they forgotten about the illegal, warrantless, 4th Amendment-ignoring, wire-tapping? How about Guantanamo Bay and Al Ghraib? Remember the Uranium documents used to make us believe Saddam purchased Uranium from Niger...it was obviously not signed by Saddam so it's ok that our administration forged it? What about the Bush administration lying to our faces, telling us there was a link between Al-Qaeda and Saddam even though US Intelligence never supported it? It doesn't matter that our administration is using Halliburton to extract Iraq's oil? How about lying to the people, Bush telling us that he never said "stay the course"? What about the Bush administration abandoning the hunt for Bin Laden when he was cornered in Tora Bora? It doesn't matter that he supports illegal immigration? How about the fact that he slashes much-needed funds from hospitals, schools, cancer and AIDS research programs, and many other things?

How about the fact that his administration restricts the Constitution-given Habeas Corpus with the Patriot Act? It was justified when he took a long vacation after inauguration instead of worrying about Bin Laden? It's ok that he told us he will "hunt down those responsible and then he told us that Osama is not a good use of American resources to hunt down?

Top CIA officials have said the war in Iraq put a huge dent in our ability to fight the Taliban. The CIA does not have many forces as it used to have assigned to looking for Bin Laden. Bin Laden may not be dead, because members of the Taliban have said they have regular conversations with Bin Laden. As our president knows, we must take what our enemies say seriously. And this is a potential threat if true.

Don't we need to take care of the Taliban first, since they are assisting the terrorists in Iraq and turning Afghanistan into Hell on earth?

Our president enjoyed boosting his approval rating to the 90's by giving us an empty promise that "we will hunt down those responsible".
Shouldn't we now send more search units to finally have that promise fullfilled?
