They found out that it has a negative effect on the resale value of their vehicles, especially since the impression of the ribbon was still there even after taking the ribbons off.

And why do you assume it is just Republicans?? I don't see the yellow ribbons so much,but I do see other car ornamental magnets that smack of patriotism. On my car, I have a flag that says " Freedom isn't Free", and I see many others that are similar. To support this country is not a sign of stupidity.

Because they found out they don't get a
tax break from the $1.93
they spent on the ribbon
made in China! (Sad but true)

They won't fit on a prius. The car won't be able to make it up a hill with that extra weight from the magnet.

the reason is all the republicans have bought them already. besides, how much (besides taxes) goes for gifts or supplies for the soldiers? zip.
