I just thought of becoming a politician so that I could try to do something positive in the U.S. There are so many things that can be changed.

Everyone continues to say that you have to know how to lie in order to be a politician, but then is there any other job out there that can help make great changes for us?

Don't, my lad, think about getting a job. If you can't lie, forget about it.

A successful politician needs following "qualities":
1) people don't realise even when he's saying the biggest lies
2) can steal without being seen
3) has a double face
4) pretends to care about others, but he actually cares only about his own ****

My relatives said my cousin would make a good politician, because when he was taking a poo, he would look straight into people's eyes...

Now, if you still think about becoming a politician, go to jobstreet.com

Start off by majoring in Politics in college. Then expand on this by being a page or a lobbyist. Get all the knowledge you can darling... you are in for a long journey.
Politicians are not looked at as the most honest of professions. Especially today. I wish you well. Also go into a government site for more information.

If you want to be a politician...do not think you will walk in to any assembly and mess up the ongoing racket these organized theives have created. They will assassinate your character. Politics is not the arena for change.

Politics is the art of making stealing look like 'service' and murder look like 'protection'.

If you want to make a change...first focus on what you have a direct influence on...your own mind...your own family...your interactions with people around you.

I like to say if one wants to change the world they should raise their children, rather than march in the street or protest or vote. Practice compassion and empathy, even when it is least expected.

Why would you want to start out your life on the bottom rung of society?

Try something higher, something like cleaning sewers or being a pimp.

After a few years at that level you should be ready to become the lackey of some politician and you can work your way up from there.

Also remember to contact the devil and reserve a slot at his hotel, you'll need it after your session as a politician.

In reality, most politicians are elected into office because of previous family members occupying similar places. They get name recognition and favorable associations, and have grown up in the atmosphere of politics. Not to mention the money involved. Very few grass roots campaigns take off easily, so my advice is to make friends in high places, raise as much money as you can, and get yourself noticed for supporting the "good stuff.

The first guy is right, learn to lie very well. The second thing you can do is to just google "How to be a Politician" and hope that all of your questions are answered.

First you have to learn to lie out one side of your mouth while flip-flopping on every issue. When you get that down your a shoe-in go to your local college agree with everything they say and they'll help you get started... Sorry, very few politician's are honest anymore they say anything to get elected then spend their next years doing whatever they want not their constituents. If you go into politics please be honest stick to your guns don't give in to. Good Luck to you... I'm jaded I don't trust any of them.
