Perhaps America should not go meddling with other contries Politics. They seem to think that they know what is best fro everybody.
When they can't even run their country.
The American Political system is rotten to the core.
I see you are a soldier, I also was in the forces so dont tell me I don't understand your problems as a squadie (grunt).
If your country had any sence at all they would pull out of Afganistan and Iraq and allow all the dedicated people in the forces to stop being killed in a war they cannot win.
Let those 2 countries blow themselves off the face of the map if that's what they want to do.
Politics runs a close second as the two things that have caused the most violent deaths since the dawn of man.
So perhaps America should keep i't nose out of other peoples buisiness.
This would save the lives of young people who are sent to fight other peoples wars

The United States always has an agenda to go to a country . What they tell us, the public may or may not agree with that agenda. Iraq had nothing to do with Saddamm as there are dozens of dictatorial regimes worse then him. We are there for the oil. Other countries resent us so much because regardless of what we say in public they have a very real perception that we are there for some other reason.

We have always demonstrated willingness to lend a hand to so many in need... We lead by great example and others should take note of how it is done...Over the years we have helped, and helped some more, only a few countries reciprocated in our time of need.
America is made up of a monopoly of diverse Cultures. People immigrated here to the land of promise and opportunity. They worked hard to learn our laws, language and to gain citizenship. They were all part of building this country's success. This is after all "One Nation Under God With Liberty And Justice For All " we do need to be selective about who and how much to help those in need... we do have allies that support us -England,Ireland,Australia, Israel, Japan. etc.. We are strong in world trade and we need each other. Over all, I believe it is most important to help keep U.S citizens to be secure first before we can help others be strong...
It does disappoint me that an illegal alien can sneak through the border and get boo-Koo Bucks" by working under the table" jobs and not have to pay taxes. What up with that? Our attention should be focused on deportation of illegal citizens to better stabilize our homeland.
I fear that other countries will over take us if we aren't militant about securing our borders. This means keeping man power close to home but it also mean that we need additional man power watching our backs from afar where many flaming arrows are being launch from... Can't reason with terrorist who seek to destroy (world wide) innocent people...Unprovoked!

It's not working because we just keep trying to get them to believe the same things we do, and the other countries have their own beliefs that mean a great deal to them. Bush and other ritzy people here want everyone to believe in our beliefs and do things the way we do them because they believe they are the only people who are right. I think it is unfortunate we can't leave the countries alone that want to be left alone. Let them do things their way unless it threatens us. We need to help our own country before we start worrying so much about others. We have a major homeless problem and other diseases. Why not help us out instead of countries who really don't want our help?

Here's how I see things: in 25 years, when we have plenty of renewable energy sources and therefore don't need foreign oil, we can tell the Middle East to pound sand.
However, until that glorious day, we still have to be the world's babysitter. Sure, most countries won't appreciate us, but in part that is because we don't promote ourselves as we should. Heck, we have HOLLYWOOD.... why don't we put that resource to use? We should be using the media to improve our image (or rather, to present an accurate picture of it).

We shouldn't go around solving other countries' problems, but we probably will keep doing it. Sure, sometimes it's in our interest to help them take care of themselves to head off problems in the future, but mostly it's a big waste of American resources.
I'm sure Hillary will get elected president with a list of countries that need "helping" and the US military will be busier than ever.

WE WANT TO GO TO WAR WITH THEM, ALSO? bush seems to want to dictate to the whole world how to live! we arte the worlds policeman, but will soon learn that the rest of planet will not be bullied by us any longer! the way things are going, wars with N. KOREA, IRAN, AND THE TERRORISTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD is the path we are headed, and we have no one to blame but ourselves! we cannot!! tell them to go to hell! we are not an isolationist! nation that we once were!

I think we would be better off if the USA would take a lesson from other countries & mind our own business. We would be much better off financially & emotionally. We'd also have a lot more friends. And as far as being the "richest, most powerful"....blah, blah, blah........, Timo 10143, what century are you in or are you talking about China?

Is giving countries loans that we know they can't pay and then taking their resources helping them? Sure we help out countries but most of the time its because we have something to gain.

The "help" is often a means of control.
It's rarely pure altruism: don't be niave.
For instance, the US didn't go into Iraq purely to free the Iraquis from Saddam. They went in becuase it allowed them access to oil there.
