The fact that the believe animals have rights and unborn children don't or the fact that they support the killing of unborn children and then selling their little bodies for scientific research but yet will defend the life of a rapist and murder. Is it because they feel they, themselves are violating and murdering these unborn children, so they want to protect themselves?

I picture universal health care that is run by the government to be as slow and annoying, with no satisfactory results, as the DMV which is also run by the government. Only with longer lines.

I read that in the Thathcher years the government, commisioned a multi million pound study to prove a link between fossil fuels and global warming ,so they could push through with the their nuclear power station plan,(and close the coal mines) ,without much public objection.
Now it would appear that Labour are doing the same thing( but are also taxing us on green issuses, planes, cars etc) to push for nuclear power.
any views?

This is a little too Orwellian for me. They say it is patriotic to commit treason against the president and our troops in harms way, yet they feel that it is treasonous to support the president and our troops.

Do I need a de-coder ring or brainwashed or somthing to figure out this logic?

I didn't buy the crap in the film. His use of 'stats' and 'pictures' amounts to nothing more than slight of hand and smoke and mirrors. Am I a social deviant because I didn't goose step over to the local carbon emission credit store and do my duty to the party?
Will I ever be a 'Left-thinking Amerikan' or will I always be independent. It is getting too hard to think for myself.

Please help!

Lawmakers to hold Walter Reed hearings
Monday, March 5, '07
WASHINGTON (AP) - As several House committees prepared to delve into the scandal at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, outraged lawmakers vowed quick action and called for an independent commission to examine poor conditions for soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's national security panel, headed by Rep. John Tierney, D-Mass., scheduled a hearing at the hospital's auditorium Monday morning. The list of Army officials, hospital staff and patients invited to speak includes the medical center's previous commander, Maj. Gen. George Weightman.

So - where have all of these "outraged" lawmakers been over a period of several years? Surely the "condiions" didn't just suddenly arise overnight! Where have these "concerned" people been? And if they support and "care" so much about our troops, why hadn't they visited Walter Reed themselves? They ae SO phony.

Brian Haw has been protesting in Parliament Square since 02 Jun 01. Initially he was campaigning against the economic sanctions imposed against Iraq and the bombing of the country by the US and UK. After 11 Sep 01, he started to protest against the War on Terror. In spite of the UK government trying to move him they have failed to shift and so he sits outside Parliament littering the surrounding area with his placades, banners, flags and other trash, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Failure to preserve, protect and defend the
Constitution

Knowingly manipulating and withholding intelligence from Congress and the American people to justify the invasion of Iraq.

Abuse of office and of Executive Privilege
Failing to investigate or discipline administration members for their roles in misleading Congress and the American public about the Iraqi threat and the need to invade.

Failure to ensure that laws are faithfully executed.
Directing the National Security Agency
to conduct electronic surveillance of American
citizens without obtaining the legal warrants required
by law. This seemingly violates the Foreign Intelligence
Surveillance Act.

Repeatedly and unapologetically misleading the American people and seeking to undermine the system of checks and balances
established by the Founding Founders.

I have a friend who is a single parent with two small children and she had to pack her job in because of the cost of child care, she was paying over £200 a week for child care and she was getting just above the Minimum Wage which meant she was really earning money just to pay for child care.
i also know of someone else who was let go by her employer because she had to take time off work when her child caught chicken pox.
any views on this.

I don't want to tell you what I think about gays, abortion, minorities, feminism, gay marriage, multiculturalism, inter-racial marriage, atheism, empowered woman and the whole host of other things that you advocate as the up and coming and the norm. I just want you to know, I'm a white man, and YES - I am still very much alive and very powerful in America. I won't be going anywhere fast. Also, understand this, the older people get, the wiser they become. They come to learn that old fashioned values and good honest traditional ways are the keys to a long and joyful life. ( not men marrying men, and having test tube babies ) This ones for my fellow men, thumbs up! Comments?
