The fact that the believe animals have rights and unborn children don't or the fact that they support the killing of unborn children and then selling their little bodies for scientific research but yet will defend the life of a rapist and murder. Is it because they feel they, themselves are violating and murdering these unborn children, so they want to protect themselves?

People who support animal rights yet support abortion rights are balancing two different sets of rights. The animals don't have a choice in their predicaments when subjected to testing. It's true that the fetus doesn't as well, but in that case, there's a competing right that is given priority: the right of the mother to control her reproductive system. It's not hypocrisy. It's the result of prioritizing rights.
With respect to defending the lives of criminals, that may not be a question of rights at all. Rather, a significant number of us simply find that capital punishment is bad public policy on a number of levels.

Trying to get into the mindset of a liberal is an undertaking that I do not like to try and do. Imagine taking everything that you and I consider right and decent and then doing the exact opposite.
Now for myself I don't really believe in the death penalty. But I don't believe in defending rapist and murderers either.
What did a three month old baby (viable tissue mass to the liberal) do to deserve the death penalty? Is it because the parents couldn't control themselves?
Like I said trying to figure out a liberal would take the intelligence of Albert Einstein and I just can't do it.

The latter is even more hypocritical than the former. It is extremenly important that judges and juries have the option of using death as a form of retributive justice, incapcitation and general deterrant in most murder cases, but supporting that does NOT make it inconsistant not to support ALL forms of killing, including abortion.

Even though I'm with you on so many of your questions you need to watch yourself with all of these libs around. They will report you in a heart beat just for saying liberal. I know from experience.

Tone it down just a smiggon.
