It appears quite obvious people are terribly unhappy about the entire "mess" our Govt has placed us in.

Most of what is wrong did not happen "overnight". My dad spoke of secure borders 4 DECADES ago.
We defeated Japan, yet they now operate "in the black" and we owe them a ton of money, while we continue to go into debt.

How would you "grade" our government's performance over the last 40 years. And who would you most attribute the grade to?

I haven't seen liberals clamoring over him for years.
No one cares that he is a hypocrite either. Both parties have too many of those anyway. We can't keep up with Bush's contradictions to himself as it is. Last year denouncing a troop surge idea, and now staunching supporting it.
Well...you get the point.

Isn't this offensive to all blacks? Why is there an intollerance in the black community for different opinions? Also, why are these black conservatives acceptable targets for racism by both, the white and black communities? Who defends them against hateful remarks?

Gore’s mansion, [20-room, eight-bathroom] located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.

Gore’s extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year.

I was driving by the 241 toll road the other day and it was backed up for miles, and is every day durning the morning and evening comute. They charge on avarage $4.00 per toll and there are 2 that come to mind. Now I don't know how may cars go through those 2 tolls each day but I would be willing to say a ton. Put it this way...if 5000 cars went through there(I don't think this is an unrealistic #) and pay at both tolls, both ways that $80,000.00 a day X 5 days in a week = $400,000.00 X 4 weeks = $1,600,000.00 X 52 Weeks in a year = $83,200,000.00 a year. Where does all this money go?!?!?!? Does anyone see a problem with this beside me.

They are not even news programs, although many appear on Fox News.
They are for entertainment and the free exchange of rants fairly often and emotionally-charged opinions after the actual headlines have been reported.
You people realize this, don't you?

The idea being that if Congress votes to raise their own pay they MUST also raise the minimum wage by the same percentage. If they fail to enact the minimum wage increase then they get no raise either.

A school child could respolve the Iraqi war issue. The solution is to LEAVE, PERIOD.

BUT, to explain what I'm ASKING, the Dem's are stalling for more time for the Republicans to do whatever it is that they set out to do in the first place. By not offering any sort of ideas as to how to exit Iraq, the Reps get to point fingers and say the Dems have no ideas so it will be business as usual. The STUPID masses will think "Hey, at least the Dem's are trying to get us out!" WHAT A JOKE.

The Dem's are stalling FOR the Republicans. They take turns doing one another's dirty wirk while YOUR CHILDREN pay with their LIVES.

I am so sick of THE STUPID MASSES who tolerate the OUT AND OUT LIES from our elected officials. THEY MAKE ME SICK TO MY STOMACH. In fact, I am beginning to wonder if most people are truly STUPID.

What do you think?

Hi! I have just now gotten back from the Greenwood Library {in Seattle} from a showing of parts of videos about the 911 conspiracy -- a sort of compilation of clips from different videos by different people. Before today, I was skeptical -- I would have gone so far as to say that Bush & co. KNEW something in advance, and decided it was in their best interest to DO NOTHING -- that's as far as I thot it reasonable to go.

NOW, however, after viewing those clips -- especially of No. 7 going down -- we have all seen, over & over, clips in the news of hi-rises going down, it's always fun to watch -- and building 7 went down EXACTLY the same way, you could see it in all the clips, over & over, from all different angles. There was NO debris on the roof; and the fires burning were such as SHOULD have been able to have been put out by sprinklers.

Furthermore, one of the people involved SAID that "they had decided to PULL the building" -- THAT IS A TECHNICAL TERM USED BY DEMOLITION PEOPLE AND IT MEANS "TO DEMOLISH"! This was after the investigation started. It was NOT, of course, picked up by any of the news media. You & I never heard that, did we? It's sensational! a confession!

BUT, wait -- there's more! In order for a building to go down in the neat manner we have all seen in numerous news clips of numerous buildings, IT TAKES EXPERTS DOING DAYS, MAYBE WEEKS OF CAREFUL WORK TO PLACE THE EXPLOSIVES JUST EXACTLY RIGHT, etc.etc. If No. 7 went down just hours after the twin towers -- THAT MEANS THE EXPLOSIVES WERE ALREADY IN PLACE DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT!!!!!!! You can imagine what THAT implies! They can't just run in there, set a few explosive charges in a couple of hours, and have the building go down in that neat, very professional way!!!!!

There is evidence that one of the entire floors of that building was used as a "command center" -- it, only one floor, was bomb-proofed, HAD ITS OWN AIR SUPPLY and its own water supply, and had glass installed that was able to withstand 160-mile-an-hour winds. Only one floor. That had a good view of the other twin towers. There are in existence the records of this work being done and paid for.

The idea was, that this building, no. 7, was used to "command" maybe drone airplanes? or supervise the whole thing anyway, and THAT WAS WHY BUILDING 7 HAD TO BE DESTROYED -- TO DESTROY INCRIMINATING EVIDENCE !

NO STEEL-FRAMED BUILDING IN THE WHOLE HISTORY OF ARCHITECTURE HAS EVER GONE DOWN FROM A FIRE!!!!!! That is impossible. Never happened before, never will happen. If it WERE possible, every office worker and hi-rise apartment dweller ought to be concerned!

Okay, there is probably going to be another war sometime soon. But, why don't they just have a huge multiplayer session but in real life - much like LaserQuest/Quazar?

There could be a CTF (capture the flag) session if Iran's lag permitted.

Dumb question, dumb (but funny) answers invited!

We are safe from radical Islamic fascist...how they think that...I don't know

The only people that cross our borders are poor Mexicans so we should keep them open so that we can give everyone a fair chance to make a better life

We should mind our own business because no one would ever think to come over here and do anything to harm us...

And the list goes on and on....

How did Mitt Romney's father run for the Republican presidential nomination when he wasn't born in the United States.
Mr. Romney's father, George Romney, the former Governor of Michigan, was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, where Mormons fled in the 1800s to escape religious persecution and American laws forbidding polygamy. He and his family did not return to the United States until 1912. How could he run for president?
