My theory is that he actually wants Congress to pull funding. Then he cannot send troops over to Iraq and not look like he wants to lose or is going to lose the war. That way he thinks he will look better. What do you think?

In American Government, the Congress is the branch that is supposed to run the country. But I wonder who really runs it. Congress or the President? If it is the later, what seperates us from any other socialist or totaltalitarian style of government?

Do you dial up 911 when a dog poops on your lawn? Even if the dog is on the other end of the leash with a human? Or do you open your door and say pick that up please? Should we get a ticket book? Or should we be neighborly and ask nicely? Rather than make revenue for the city? Why not communicate? What your taxes aren't going to go up, if they pay more in tickets? Bull roar, what are you smokin? Or do you feel that you will be in favor of your locals, if you are a snitch, and a coward? Police your own, unless it is really serious, and still if you had a home invasion, and you could not reach 911, but you could reach your gun, or a butcher knife? Would you say stop wait I have to call 911 first, or would you defend yourself? Your G-d given right, that is not the governments? They don't have the right to tell you to sacrifice yourselves, to wait for them to come? They may never come in time? Or is it politically correct to let the bombs drop, wake the people in terror, then take control?

I asked this in science and mathematics, but obviously no one there can answer it. So I decided I'd try to ask those who think they know everything! I actually need this for a poll, but I don't need to explain all that riff raff.
Here's the question!

Would you consider theory a science? Read details?

I just got in a short lived debate with my one psych professor and a student.

We were talking about how there are a good amount of scientists who think psychology is not a form of science.

Well psychology easily argues with this theory by saying... We use the scientific method.
So now you have the history.

My debate would be theory is a science because
A: Theory is greatly used in the hypothosis stage of the scientific method
B: Theory is the hypothosis stage of the scientific method... Meaning theory is in the process of being proven.

So how would theory not fit as a science?
Opinions?

And bring to the table an open mind to put this country on its feet again. That is logical especially with all the foreigners we have creeping in with their ownerships of our banks, and credit card companies? Don't you think that there are some good politicians in there that could make a difference? And who are they? And please don't start that bush thing again, stand down, stand mute please don't make me laugh.

I saw a show on the Discovery channel in which several scholars were interpreting a certain passage from the bible (I forget which one) and saying that the story was all metaphor of what was happening at that time in society (concerning politics and economics). They made some very clear points which seem incredibly plausible, almost impossible to dismiss.

How much of the bible was written to represent, in biblical terms, what was going on in society at the time it was written?

Please, just factual answers. Don't preach.
