Before any republicans mindlessly mention any other names without a single reason for their opinions (the kind of thing each of them do almost every response), please take a look at what filth Ann Coulter wrote in her novel, "Godless: The Church of Liberalism". (Everything in her book is a rant, including the title...I'm sure you know that most liberals and conservatives alike are Christian).

Keep in mind the Senate version will include some kind of path to eventual assimilation into America for immigrants......will the House pass this or will new Dems. still take a hard line to it?

united states is way to lean on criminals by keeping them on death row for years and years and continue to charge it to the citizens on this great land. i think we should do like others countries do. you go to trial. you are found guilty. you are hung or killed within a week. no more red tape. no more excuses. if you are found guilty and sentence to death. that is it. i would like to have interesting answers on this discussion. please no quoting letters, or books and giving silly answers. i just would like to know the views of others. i do believe in capital punshiment, but i also do think the u.s. spends way too much time housing violent and death row criminals.

It's an interesting sign of the times as Democrats turn to the completely inexperienced Obama as one of the few people "qualified" to best lead America.
