Whats better for self esteem, working or getting a government handout. My wife works with the handicap, if they can work, so can you or anybody else.

because in reality it all about the money.the goverement has a responsibleity too everyone too keep as many people off of benefit as possible.if you are unable too work then you cant work its as simple as that but if you can work then why wouldnt you want too work since when did it become right too stay on benefits because ur better off the benefit system isnt supposed too work in this way.

I 2 am on benefits and like you for many years. If I could work really could work then I would but because I do have a illness that stops me from working I cannot.the goveremnt know that there are some people on certain benefits that shouldnt be on those benefits and should be working the insentive is too get back into work too contrubute something too this society we all live in.unfortunately because the goveremnt dont go house to house they send the same letters out too everyone and from there its down too person choice.yes many people will be worse off comeing off the benefits they are on the goverment may not realize this.but that fact alone is true but if you can work then you should at the end of the day and if you cant then you shouldnt..

times are changeing maybe oneday the goveremnt will go house too house and see how people live on the benefits they get maybe then they will realize how hard it is for some people too go back too work.but there is alot of dole dossers out there who are more than willing too get money for nothing this is what the goveremnt is trying too change and its a long process.it seems harse i know but like many people on benefit ive felt dicriminated against bye the goveremnt and the benefit agencys but all they are saying is if you want too work and you feel you are able then we will help you...the choice is down too the indivdual..

you dont really work out worse off. If you and your parner were earning a wage you should always work out to be a little better off a week. not a lot i know, but at least you get out there and join the real world. Where poss anyway. i know its hard for some people but if you can.......you should!
