Now that elections are over, and their speeches about the low gas prices did not garner enough support, they are willing to allow gas prices to rise again. That's my theory, anyway.

A large portion of our country (the US) buys from Wal-mart which is the #1 trader with China. The Chineese government is responsible for the death of over 1.2 million Tibetans. Also their government is reasponsible for genocide of their own people. They still continue to destroy Tibetan culture. Why do we support them? How do we make their present human rights violations known to the American public? Why doesn't our so called "christian nation" do anything about it?

Working on the hypothetical premise it was thechnacly possible.I hear a lot of people here in Europe and American friends online, and posts on this board say the same thing.
We don't vote, politicians just want to be elected, then they do whatever they want. They feel excluded form the political process
I think we,people with an interest in politics, can all agree the more participation the better regardless where we stand on the issues.
I see upsides and downsides to direct democracy, what are your thoughts?Any other idea's to get more people untested in politics are also appreciated.

Why do they follow the masses instead of do their own discovery? And why don't people expect more from politicians and realize, every politican in office today is corrupt and a liar, REGARDLESS of political affiliation?

I've been reading a lot of opinions about the Iraq war, and while democrats say we should pull out on a time schedule, many republicans are saying no we need to stay in Iraq because we haven't won yet. Why on earth do we have to win? Isn't human life and the protection of the United states more important than winning and placating the chip on Bush's shoulder?

plan on winning the war on terror? Didn't Bush tell us that winning the war on terror meant that the US had to win in Iraq?

If you are for the federal govt. you agree with the more liberal justices on the supreme court. You also agree with upholding Roe V. Wade. However you also agree with the liberal justices that states may not make their own laws regarding decriminalization of drugs, and that the federal law trumps state law, when it comes to drug enforcement.
If you are for states rights you agree with the conservative judges on the supreme court. You agree that Roe v. Wade should be overturned and every state to be able to decide for themselves if abortion is legal and to what extent. You also believe, however that every state should be allowed to decide for itself to whether they want to legalize drugs, and to what extent.
Please tell me your view. Do you favor state or federal control? Please choose one, and don't say both.
I myself am against both drugs and abortion. But I would choose state control. I would rather tolerate legal drugs in order to let states restrict abortion.
Your view?

There was a long war in vietnam with America and French. American people did not like this war so much and they left but now Vietnam is become better country. Why? Is it becuse communist is not working in the world anymore or becuase America leave vietnam alone to figyure all for themselfs.

So does President want for long war in Iraq and then leave and wish it all comes out ok?
