I was looking at Mexico with Google Earth, and I zoomed down on Tijuana. Even from space Mexico looked like a crap hole. I know I wouldn't live there. It was all just dirt and garbage and bad looking roads.

The 23-year-old Massachusetts woman – identified in court as Jane Doe – cannot remember anything about being chased down a dirt path in Trabuco Canyon in June 2004, or about being attacked amid scrub brush and cacti. She agreed to have her picture taken but did not want her name published.

She told Orange County Superior Court Judge David A. Hoffer that because of her ordeal, she is no longer confident in life and is still recovering from her injuries.

And then she sat back in the courtroom gallery, where she was comforted by her mother, as Hoffer sentenced Raul Salvador Marin, 33, to 46-years-to-life in prison.

Marin, a day laborer who admitted the attack, sat quietly a few feet away listening to the proceedings through a Spanish-speaking interpreter. He did not comment. http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/news/local/article_1543457.php

Is this their way of saying thank you to a country who has given them this better life all the time we hear of ?Where else do you get free medical care ? Free lunches at schools where they are telling the kids to walk out is that a thank you or screw you attitude by the illegal aliens who get billions in services here free of charge.Illegal aliens are very ungreatful for all America has done for them by boycotting anything America May 1 with huge marches demanding to be given the key to not the city but the whole country.

in sales there, and the COMMENTS on this story seem to say the same. The article, though, blames bird flu fears and mad cow disease fears and never mentions boycotts.

Did you ever fear bird flu in a US market (so far?)

Are you or do you know anyone who is boycotting Tysen's Foods?

Border Corruption Runs Amok
The pattern is obvious to anyone paying attention, but I seldom hear public officials discuss it. Police corruption has cropped up along the Texas-Mexico border at a head-spinning pace in recent months. Here are a few cases on the US side that caught Grits’ attention:

do you notice the main people who go on a about immigration are fat doleites who drink all day and have no intention of finding work.they go on about how they are getting screwed by people who actually want to earn a living.how many people are queing up too be cockle pickers???not many if any.these people do the jobs that we wont get out of bed for.and do you notice how we forget that we are the biggest emigrants and soon lose our moral high ground when we see how many of our indiginous population are sunning it up in spain and oz and the states.we didnt seem to have a problem when our trades men took work of the germans in the 80's either.can some of you get a grip

There are obvious reasons to oppose a Social Security totalization agreement with Mexico. First, our Social Security system already faces trillions of dollars in future shortages as the Baby Boomer generation retires and fewer young workers pay into the system. Adding hundreds of thousand of noncitizens to the Social Security rolls can only hasten the day of reckoning. What next, Social Security for Terrorist's ?

Hello,

I have been in process for my citizenship a little over the allotted 6-months. I have done my fingerprinting early August and still no word on an interview. If I needed my citizenship to be processed faster so I can embark on an academic research trip in February, would that be reason enough to ask the congressman for help? If so, what is the process and the best way to approach it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
