Why is it that Bush is giving so much money to this damn war but yet the waiting list to get Child care assistance is 1 year long. Here where I live in NC the waiting list is at a year. Why can he not help the people in the US that want to work of course our unemployed levels are going to be high if he cant provide money to help the ones that are trying to get out of ruts. Okay lets just keep the poor poorer is that it????? WTH??

I have seen some appalling questions and answers concerning civics and government that indicate a lack of basic knowledge of the systems that govern our country. One person stated that if he were the head of the National Security Council, he'd arrest the President. Isn't it common knowledge that the President chairs the NSC? Others say that the President should be impeached for violating the Geneva Conventions. Anyone who makes this statement obviously knows little about impeachment or the Geneva Conventions. Does anyone else think that we need to educate or re-educate ourselves on how our government runs? Perhaps then we'd be able to have meaningful discussions and debates using facts as the basis of our arguement rather than emotion. This is not to get into the meaningless conservative vs liberal debates, it is a challenge for us to learn more so that we can be better informed citizens.

Raul Manglapus was a great politician, yet he never got elected President of the Philippines. Many sources claim that a newspaper columnist called Manglapus "the best President we never had". Who called Manglapus that, and if it is possible to know, when and where did he do so?

I was born in California in my mother's old house. She never made it to the hospital. My parents aren't citizen's so uncertain of the californial/U.S. laws they never registered me which made a HUGE pause to my life now that Im almost 20. Im not able to receive a c.a. id due to not having a birth certificate. Though I DO have a record of birth over my baptism certificate and my social security stating i was born in CA. I researched over the internet and came across a page on how to get passport. Theres also a area that tells you what to do if you do not have a birth certificate " http://studenttravel.about.com/od/planyourtrip/f/nocertificate.htm
" It says I need a " .Letter of No Record " SO my question is how do i get one? I tried to search for it (how it says on the site i gave) but cant come across anything that specifically tells you how to. Also, do i also have to tell them I was born in a house? Please someone help me.
