All I've been seing on my TV lately is commercials for Ned Lemont, but they're not for Lemont. They're simply against Lieberman. I have yet to see one singal ad that says what Ned Lemont would do if he was elected in the August 8th primary. And besides: Joe Lieberman, along with the attorney General Richard Blumenthal, is really the voice of CT. I've seen him on several news shows discusing various issues. So would Ned Lemont do the same in getting in front of the camera when he hasn't even done that for his campaign?

And besides, Lieberman has said that if he doesn't win the primary, he'll run as an independant for the Presidential race. Personally I'd think this would be a great idea since he could be himself and not face any pressure from a political party such as influencing his views even though he's already done that in part, but that can be a very good thing especially for someone like him.

Why is it that so many people scream about Israel killing civilians but say nothing when Hezbollah targets nothing but civilians with their rockets, suicide bombers, etc etc. Isreal troops wear uniforms and ask people in areas they are going to attack to get out. Hezbollah hides behind civilians. Yet no one is complaining about them.

to a democrat it doesn't matter who started the fight. if america or isreal is involved, it's automaticly their fault. i don't understand how they have any voters left on their side at all.

Millions marched in London to try to stop our Government from going to war in Iraq. Blair knew that the majority of the population were against it, but competely ignored the wishes of his people and went his own sweet way. I could see that the "war" would go on for years with the religious split there, but obviously Blair was too short sighted. He just forced out the members of his government who could see the pitfalls. Now he is again trotting at the heals of Bush (an idiot who only got the job because of who Daddy was).

Why can't we do what the swiss do. They have a reforendum on all important issues. I know this wouldn't be easy to set up, but with the technology we have today there must be a way.

Are you satisfied with the way the republicans have handled the goverment? Will you vote for them again? If yes, Is it because you're a republican and can't look beyond political parties when voting?

Should I vote like many Americans do and base all my trust in a political party? Or should I vote based on the issues, how they are handled, and the best candidate? Would I be a liberal if I did that and didn't belong to a political party, specially republican?

Considering the cost it costs to be elected the politicians must secure funds from patrons. Of course these patrons will want a return for their investment/bribe.

What's the solution? Severely limiting campaign finance?
