Why is it so difficult for us to believe that there might be other intelligent (and even more advanced) life in the universe. Whether you're an evolutionist or creationist, is it so hard to accept that planets other than this insignificant third rock from the sun might have intelligent inhabitants?
Our massive egoism prevents us from such beliefs.
That's to bad....because someday we might have to wake up to that reality in an instant as "aliens" from "outer space" invade!

Oh, My God!!! You are either stupid, or you've been watching "Men in Black" too many times for your own good.
I believe there's other intelligent life out there--there has to be, the universe is too big for that not to be the case--but any alien civilization technologically advanced enough to send explorers the millions of light years necessary to reach earth would not give a fig about our primitive planet.

It's always a little too convenient when a "hyposthesis" such as this answers all of the unanswered questions. It's obviously a work of fiction along the lines of the Illuminatus Trilogy-type deep conspiracy fiction. Not very well written (needs serious editing), and not very entertaining either.

i ought to assert there's a great danger. one element to contemplate is that there are a determination of planets in the universe; estimates determination from the billions to the trillions, and estimates are continually increasing. to that end, the prospect of searching a planet comparable to earth is major, possibly there are even thousands and thousands of planets that, like Earth, can harbor existence. yet another element to contemplate is what precisely defines "wise." We frequently evaluate chimps and dolphins are wise, yet no longer as wise as people. If we were to locate a creature analogous to the monkey outdoors of Earth, with similar intelligence, ought to it is considered wise existence? finally, you even ought to contemplate the scope of time. The universe is over 14 billion years previous, and documented human historic past has lasted for below 10000 years. possibly there develop into extraterrestrial existence previously human's developed, possibly even previously the existence began on the earth. yet regular, i trust that right this moment, there's a great probability for wise existence (with wise defined as round or above that of people), with the probabilities increasing continually as our understanding of area will develop.

The general populace can't handle the truth... The government has to dumb-down a lot of reality, so the sheep don't panic!
Most of us are on a need to know basis, and we don't need to know!
