Do you think we should impeach Bush/Chaney and then fine them for 1 billion dollars each?

Bush is our "official" commander and chief, Chaney the unofficial, and just as they did for our current veterans, put them out without benefits, and send them a HUGE BILL for the PREVIOUS PERSONALITY DISORDERS prior to getting into office that we did not detect.

To bad we can not give them a LIFETIME of nightmares and a purple heart for the physical disabilities they recieved, as the 20,000-30,000 veterans are also recieving.

Both Bush and Chaney agree that its a good idea, so do I, so lets give it to them!

From Wikipedia:
"A parachute candidate, also known as a “carpetbagger” in the United States, is a pejorative term for an election candidate who does not live in and has little connection to the area he or she is running to represent. The allegation is thus that the candidate is being “parachuted in” for the job by a desperate political party that has no reliable talent indigenous to the district or state or that the party (or the candidate himself/herself) wishes to give a candidate an easier election than would happen in one's own home area. For example, in a 2000 race for U.S. Senator in New York, Democrat Hillary Clinton was accused of carpetbagging New York. Similarly, in the 2004 Illinois Senate race, Alan Keyes of Maryland ran on the Republican ticket with similar accusations."

Why do we suppose Hillary moved to NYS, and then ran for Senator? Could this all have been planned as a stepping stone to running for President?

If taxpayers were allowed to earmark up to 10% of their tax donation money for the exclusive use of one or more taxpayer specified government departments, would you support that change of legislation.. and do you think it could work?

Example:
Taxpayer X has a $1000 tax burden and he expresses his option to designate that it will be spent in the following way:

By mandate of law:
90% automatically goes into the general fund ($900)

By taxpayer choice:
10% to the Department of Education ($10)
30% to the Department of Defense ($30)
10% to the Department of Transportation ($10)

Would such a change better serve the desires of our population while allowing our legislators to continue flexibly allocating money from the general fund for running the government?

Specifically. What has your party done for you personally? I'm not looking for what each party supposedly stands for, only what has YOUR party done for YOU?
If you're a Dem, what has your party done to make your life easier or better? Same with Cons. What have they done to make your life easier or better?

No rants please. Just intelligible answers.

...did they sheetcan representative Ron Paul? I mean if this was a movie it'd be titled "Silence Of The Paul." I mean they dropped representative Paul into the "porcelain lake", pushed down the chrome handle & as far as their concerned it's "journey to the septic tank" for Ron Paul. I mean I would not care if it was Charles Manson running for office, I would still think the major media should cover ALL candidates as a service to the public. Even many of the polls just simply "deleted" him like no mention what so ever! This generally only happens when some one dose not want the cat to get out of the bag. Like is the major news media corporate in bed with some or all of Ron Paul's competition??? Fair & balanced? You bet, it's FAIR for them to BALANCE the coverage for their benefit!!!

Does anyone realize that Hillary became a socialist early in her life, while still a student at Wellesley? And that she has followed that line ever since? Does anyone know she feels we do not know enough to take care of our own children, but she wants the government to take over parental rights? Does anyone know Hillary is for big government and less freedom on the individual level? Does anyone care ?

"Both houses of Congress voted for 23 writs authorizing the war with Iraq—a post-9/11 confirmation of the official policy of regime change in Iraq that President Clinton originated. Supporters of the war included 70 percent of the American public in April 2003; the majority of NATO members; a coalition with more participants than the United Nations alliance had in the Korean War; and a host of politicians and pundits as diverse as Joe Biden, William F. Buckley, Wesley Clark, Hillary Clinton, Francis Fukuyama, Kenneth Pollack, Harry Reid, Andrew Sullivan, Thomas Friedman, and George Will." (NYTimes, 12 Jul 2007, VD Hanson)

Can former President Bill Clinton speak to the fact that it was his administration that initiated the regime change policy for Saddam Hussein's Iraq?

I need to register to vote pretty soon, but I don't really know what to do. I presume that I'd go to the secretary of state's office, and that I'd need ID. But I don't have my driver's license yet either... could I get my license and then use that to register?

Also, do I have to register with a particular party, or can I remain unaffiliated? Does it cost anything to register? Is there a deadline by which I have to register? I know there has to be so much time before an election, but do I only have so long after turning 18?

Finally, I will be moving far away (but still within the same state) soon. Should I register there, where I will be attending school nine months (possibly more) of the year, or should I register here, where I have my permanent address?

In parliamentary procedure (Robert's rules of order) a candidate for office needs to be nominated from the floor and seconded by at least one other before being considered for office. I know there is no formal nomination procedure before the conventions. Are potential presidential candidates chosen by the political parties, the media, or do they nominate themselves (by a toss of their hat) and so start these early campaigns that take up so much time on the "tube" and in the papers and cost so much money?

Pervez Musharraf should now step down as president.A dictator can never learn to rule a country. His mind is not meant for politics, it's only meant for destruction and chaos.I think imran khan would be a good choice but that will only remain a dream because he doesn't have support of the masses. Which party are you voting for and that is if u are voting at all.

I get the biggest laugh, it's a disgusted laugh, but it's a laugh nonetheless, at these idiots and conspiracy theorists who keep claiming Obama is a Muslim. I'm not even an Obama supporter, but these fools are pathetically funny.

What do they think he's going to do? Once in office he'll declare Jihad on the United States and the Congress will just fall down, worship him and tear up the Constitution? Will he hold a news conference and say "Hey you guys guess what I'm really a Muslim and you're all screwed?" Or will he just quietly work to let terrorists in the country, because of course we all know that Presidents don't have to answer to anyone, and Homeland Security wouldn't even notice.

I know, it's not even a serious question, but don't you find them a pathetic bunch? The people who claim this crap are a Coke short of a Happy Meal.

Mr Thompson seems mighty quick to adopt the "I don't remember" defense which has become a faithful stand-by of Republican flip-floppers. But the facts are that he took money to try to convince lawmakers to relax the abortion gag-rule at family planning clinics which accepted federal money.

Now, I admire him for that effort, but why won't "Mr. Integrity" stand by what he did?
