I get the biggest laugh, it's a disgusted laugh, but it's a laugh nonetheless, at these idiots and conspiracy theorists who keep claiming Obama is a Muslim. I'm not even an Obama supporter, but these fools are pathetically funny.

What do they think he's going to do? Once in office he'll declare Jihad on the United States and the Congress will just fall down, worship him and tear up the Constitution? Will he hold a news conference and say "Hey you guys guess what I'm really a Muslim and you're all screwed?" Or will he just quietly work to let terrorists in the country, because of course we all know that Presidents don't have to answer to anyone, and Homeland Security wouldn't even notice.

I know, it's not even a serious question, but don't you find them a pathetic bunch? The people who claim this crap are a Coke short of a Happy Meal.

blueridge:

It is sad and scary. But they are the dregs of our society and they won't make a dent in anyone's mind but their own.

Obviously, facts aren't your strong suit but try and pay attention. He went to both Muslim and Catholic schools between the ages of 6 to 10. They then moved to Hawaii where he attended a college prep high school that had NOTHING to do with the Muslim religion. He was complete disenchanted by religion altogether until he became a Christian. But thanks for giving the perfect example to back up my question.

True...But I also believe that this perception by people who are clearly idiots of the first order is dismissed by anyone with an IQ in the higher double digits. As one of the conservative answerers said, these people make them all look bad. Sadly, it may be this perception that makes some Dems not want to choose him for the nomination. Not that they believe it, but that too many other people do, so you may be right. I'm in support of Hillary, as you know, but I hate to see Obama get set aside for an ignorant reason like this that doesn't even have basis in fact.

At least you can express the ludicrosity of it. All I've been able to do is roll my eyes. You're exactly right. My HOPE is that it's only because I'm hanging out (read: wasting time) so much here that I have a distorted view of how prevalent this idiocy really is. My FEAR is that it's not just here on Y!A.

LaCoste Alligator - How, exactly, should we "know" this? Or are you just a living, breathing indication that I need to buy more Alcoa stock today?

Scooter Girl - he attended a Muslim school while living for a few years as a child in Indonesia. NEWS FLASH: There are Muslim schools in Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim country. NEWS FLASH: The school he attended is coed (hardly Wahabist - oh, snap, now you have to do research!) and one of the elite schools of Jakarta. But keep up the bigotry! Sunshine IS the best disinfectant.

Our whole country is becoming one big conspiracy. Personally, I don't care if he says he worships the pile of dog-poo his neighbors poodle left by the mailbox.
Can we in America possibly see some real analysis of the problems/issues. Maybe someone that doesn't just resort to fear-mongering? Hmmm, maybe someone that can use probability and statistics to back up what they believe? Oh wait. We tried that and Ross Perot got 0% votes.
Gosh. Sorry to report but I guess we need the conspiracies!

You're right he's not Muslim. Religion really should be a non issue especially when it comes to politics.

It really isn't a JOKE, his name is Osama Hussein Obama, he was raised by and taught by one muslim father and a muslim step-father, he attended all muslim extremists schools until he was in high school. He has just RECENTLY joined a christian church at the advise and urging of his political adviser. Oh, by the way, it is attitudes like yours that will get us all killed someday. You need to look seriously at the people who will be running the country and making international decisions for all of us, it really is no laughing matter.
