Realistically, what would be the consequences of a state employee using his/her state e-mail address and e-mailing a few people (say 5) asking them to vote for a certain candidate in a small local election? I know it's against state policy and that it's possible to get fired over such offenses, but realistically, what would be the consequences?

What kind of machines were the ones that screwed up? What was the problem.

What were the technological issues (specifically with the machines, or the physical voting process) that made these elections so controversial.

Thanks

I just read an article that scares the iving heck out of me, Newt Gingrich is saying we may have to re-examine FREE SPEECH to prevent terrorism, here's his quote "Gingrich, speaking at a Manchester awards banquet, said a "different set of rules" may be needed to reduce terrorists' ability to use the Internet and free speech to recruit and get out their message.

"We need to get ahead of the curve before we actually lose a city, which I think could happen in the next decade,"

Man what happened to my Country? The terrorists have already won if this type of thinking could be our reality, shred the constitution to save the consitution, does this seem right to anyone?

Since most of the whiney liberals on this board kept claiming the election of Bush was due to voter fraud (a practice patented by democrats, historical fact btw) then it's logical to assume that this election proves the Dem's used voter fraud to regain the Senate and Congress right? Or are you williing to state you all are hypocrites now?

Personally, I do not like any of the candiates.

***Rudi Giuliani*** : This guy sucks overall, just because he was the mayor of NY when the 9/11 attacks happend. Thats how he got his recongition. Even then he didn't do a very good job what makes you think he can run the country if he cant even run his own city.

***Hilary Clinton***: This woman is straight up and left wing exteremist. She scares me.

***Barrak Obama***: This guy has only been in the senate only for a couple of years and people are already thinking he can actually run the U.S? isn't a little too soon for him to take office when his expierence falls well short?

***John McCaine***: McCaine would get my vote becuase I honestly think he has good intentions on how to run the country. He will be the only candiate who has expierence in both the seante as well as in combat.

Who would you pick and Why? On What issues are you voting for your candiate?

But when the Republicans win the Liberals cry unfair, cheat, votes not counted right etc? Is it because the Liberals are poor losers. Or do they feel the Liberals are best for this country. Don't forget Viet Nam, when the Liberals were called on to fight they all turned tail and ran for Canada.
