Why is it when the Democrats win the people have spoken?

But when the Republicans win the Liberals cry unfair, cheat, votes not counted right etc? Is it because the Liberals are poor losers. Or do they feel the Liberals are best for this country. Don't forget Viet Nam, when the Liberals were called on to fight they all turned tail and ran for Canada.

Ha! That's rich! The "liberals" ran away to Canada...while the rich, Republican daddys made sure their cocaine-snorting sons either got squirreled away in the National Guard, or hid behind some desk while the underclass got blown away in the jungle. Losing an election really hurts, doesn't it?

George Bush did not serve in Viet Nam in fact he went AWOL after a short time because he wanted to party. Cheney got five deferments. None of the men in charge of the war at this time served in the Military. How many conservatives turned tail and ran for Canada? Did you research that? There were plenty.

George Bush was not elected in 2000, he was selected by the Supreme Court. There have been many books, documentaries and articles that detail the cheating, manipulating of voting machines and ballots which they conservatives are still doing.
This was obvious in Ohio and John Kerry conceded too soon. It is being proven now that he was a victim of this administration.

I am a republican and I say (about the last election) the people have spoken. There now you have all seen it. But what exactly did the people say? I'm sure most of us would disagree on that. I did notice from the few answers I've read so far that no one is really answering the question. I would like to know that too. Why do democrats cry foul when conservatives win? Is that not ever "the people speaking"?

2) They have the mainstream media behind them so there version is the only side most people hear.
3) They are convinced that they & only they can possibly know what is best for the ignorant masses.

You are probably quite young but I think you should read more about what happened with the Vietnam war. Very few people went to Canada to avoid the war and about something like 58,000 USA citizens died in Vietnam - those were people who were Democrats and Republicans.

I am full weary of the political apartheid being wrenched into our society by the media.

Republicans are not in it for the common person. That is why if everyone (90%-100%) voted Democrats would win hands down. In general the Rich, Rednecks and Racists vote Rep. The Cristian right has just realized that killing hundreds of thousands in a foreign land and letting thousands of our own die, is not a christian value!

The republicans have won for twelve years. In twelve years they have derailed serious attempts at healthcare reform, implemented privatization of essential government services like welfare administration (Lockheed Martin), jails (Correction corporation -please BUY this stock - look it up and you'll see its a winner). Oh goodie now we have privatization of medicare prescription benefits - what a help that will be. I REALLY hope all our social secirity savings go to Morgan Stanley. Goldman Sachs and others - so WE can really benefit.

They have been indicted from the speaker of the house to several others caught in the abramoff scandal.

Refused to indict Hallburton of charges of corruption and fraud. Refused to liquidate the assets of enron and worldcom so that they fulfill their pension obligation to loyal americans. They also should have sold of the the shares, bonuses and properties of all personnel involved in Columbia HCA (Sen. Bill Frist) and Healthsouth to name only two companies CAUGHT in a fraud scheme of over 10 BILLION dollars from american senior citizens.

I heard one republican say it, Pres Bush, the day after the elections. I personally vote on where the individual stands on issues, not the party, however, I do believe the people have spoken.
