We had help from other countries, France encluded. Why shouldn't we return the favor and help other countries gain their independence? Aren't the strong obligated to help the weak? Or is that only if they don't have a commodity that would help us such as oil? If they were completely without assets would it be OK to help then?

Our society is quite flawed, and I'm looking to do something about it. This is the first step...I'm looking for the weakest link in our society, and the strongerst. We the people can influence change, but it has to be an everyday thing. This is where I start

THIS WOULD SOLVE THE PARTY FUNDING PROBLEM - THEN - WITH TWO VOTES ON THE BALLOT PAPER - ONE FOR YOUR LOCAL M.P. OPEN TO ALL COMERS (WITH RESTRICTIONS) - AND ONE FOR PM OPEN TO ALL COMERS (WITH RESTRICTIONS) - WE COULD VOTE FOR "BOTH PEOPLE ON THEIR PROMISES AND WHETHER THEIR BELIEFS ARE ALIGNED WITH OURS OR NOT- NOT WITH SOME ANTIQUATED POLITICAL MOVEMENT.
THE CHOSEN P.M. COULD THEN APPOINT CABINET MEMBERS BASED ON ABILITY AND POLITICAL BELIEFS IN EACH AREA OF POLICY AND NOT BECAUSE OF GENERAL POLITICAL ALIGNMENT.
SURELY THIS WOULD GET THE BEST OUT OF INDIVIDUALS WHO STAND FOR OFFICE - EVERY HOUSE OF COMMONS VOTE WOULD BE A FREE VOTE AND THE "WHIP" SYSTEM WOULD DISAPPEAR OVERNIGHT.
THIS WOULD ELIMINATE MUCH OF THE "SLEAZE" IN POLITICAL LIFE TOGETHER WITH ANY PROSPECT OF A "HUNG PARLIAMENT" TOGETHER WITH AN END TO THE DEBATE OVER "PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION" AND WOULD RESULT IN A "GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE", NOW AND FOREVER - WORKING FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY. IT SEEMS SO SIMPLE!!!!

I am a teenager that wants to work/volunteer on Hillary Clinton's 2008 Presidential campaign. Are there any offices that she has in Long Island or New York City that I can work at. I'm willing to work part/full time over the summer on her campaign.

Presidential candidate Clinton has challenged the Pentagon on military policies and practices. Although senators and congressmen have need for a great amount of national security information they are not privy to everything. The "Need to Know" standard must be met. Clinton has no military experience and very limited knowledge of the military organization and functions. Neither she nor her closest advisor (Bill) has military experience. Soldiers who have seen war first hand, seen soldiers die and felt the pain of the wounded know and respect war best. Do you agree that if she obtains information from the pentagon it will most likely end up twisted into her campaign with potential misinformation and a compromise of controlled information?

They are always dreaming up new taxes - now I see the real reason behind their "global warming" agenda - it is to raise taxes. They are now trying to push a "carbon footprint tax.

I strongly support our troops......support them coming home from this War.

My brother just got back from Iraq, after hearing his stories and checking on you tube to see what other soldiers think. It is too obvious that this war is for money. He explained how they would destroy their own vehicles instead of making simple repairs and taxes would just buy another one. Or how he was forced to turn in his laundry to KBR where they would wash it and charge the Tax payers $99 a load. He also explained how it seems that we are trying to intervene in a civil war that has been going on for decades.
Commanders threaten soldiers "If you want to see your family, freinds or girlfriend again you better go and destroy that city".

If you really supported our troops, you would educate yourselves in what is really going on. Start by doing a search on youtube for "iraq" and see what actual soldiers feel about this war?
