I was summoned for Jury Duty, (I live in Milwaukee, WI) for tomorrow and Thursday. But I am coming down with something really bad and am actually fearing that it might be Tonsillitis. Is there any way I can "call in sick" for jury duty? Or do I have to go no matter what?

do you think? Only 10%? Actually 50%? Would you vote for someone with fantastic ideas, but who physically was quite plain or unattractive, do you suppose?

I see it all the time here. Hillary is a Socialist, Obama is a Socialist, Edwards is an ambulance chaser.

If you accuse Hillary & Democrats as being Socialists, can you tell me why? What is Socialism and what policies are they proposing that is Socialist.

Hi,
Can someone tell me a city or town where there has been a youth council that actually has a noticible impact on the community? What do they discuss in their meetings? How do they impliment their plans? What kind of things have prominent youth advisory boards estabilish? And how did they do it?

You are one of four members of the City Council of Adam. Tax and other revenues are down significantly due to an increase in violent crime and arson, which has caused a sudden unexpected exodus of citizens and businesses from the community. This has also caused a budget shortfall forcing harsh choices upon the Council. The police have requested funds to replace two members of the city’s four member force who have recently resigned and moved away. They also need to replace one of their three patrol units. The costs of recruitment, payroll and benefits for the two officers, plus the replacement patrol unit, are $200,000. The fire department needs to replace one of its two fire engines. The cost of the new fire engine will be $200,000. The City Orphanage partially burnt down in one of the arsons. Thirty orphans must now share an amount of space which, by law, can only have a maximum living capacity of fifteen. Cost to repair the orphanage is $200,000. All possible options have been considered by the Council. Only ONE of the items can be funded with the $200,000 left in the city’s budget. Question: as a City Council member, how will you use your one vote: do you choose to approve funding for new police officers and the patrol unit they will need, the fire engine, or the repairs to the orphanage? Why have you made this decision and how did you come to your conclusions?

Hello, I have been summoned for jury duty. I don't even know if I will have to report yet. I know how to get out of jury duty but I do not want to as I believe it is one's civil duty. However, I work forty hours a week and go to college. I barely make ends meet as it is. I know they pay you a very small stipend, but what can one do to survive if he or she is chosen and is involved in a lengthy trial? Can he or she apply for funding? Thanks.

What is proof?

It seems everyone thinks they have it, but do they?

Can they prove that Man landed on the moon? No, they say it was on TV, that's not proof; they don't even have the documents to prove it happened.

Can they prove that the world is flat? They have no proof. Just a Round map of the world. Maybe the map companies wanted to make more money by selling the more expensive Round Map.

How do people KNOW that the Government is not run by Freemasons, Mutant Lizards From Outer Space or even...CANADIANS!!!

Republicans and Libertarians? It seems that party lines have become obscured and neither the Democrates, nor the Republicans, seem to be doing such a hot job.

Maybe if we threw a couple of Libertarians into the mix, we would have a group that actually wanted to do some good for this country and would embarrass the rest into serving the nations needs.

Dictionary Definition of Libertarian:

1. One who advocates maximizing individual rights and minimizing the role of the state.
2. One who believes in free will.

Just an idea, any thoughts on it?

Has anyone asked a politician in your region if he or she uses the internet and Yahoo Answers? I asked in my home town in Connecticut. I know a lot of politicians and only two out of several knows of Yahoo Answers.

What, if any experiences have you had?

It's obvious our true enemies ( the guys behind 9/11 , etc. ) are in Pakistan and Afghanistan and Iraq is just a big Bush Mistake. We've all seen the proof that Saddam had ZERO to do with Al Qaeda and please don't post dishonest crap claiming he did. Why don't we have a larger portion of our troops where the true fight is? Instead of having them screw the pooch in Iraq?
