Not positive but I think a police report is when the police attend the scene and a incident report is what you fill out when you reported the accident.I believ thats what it is

They could be the same thing. Depends what the agency calls its reports. A police report typically does not use the words "police report" on it. An incident report means a written account of an alleged incident. It just means documentation.

A police report can be an incident report but an incidient report cannot be a police report.

A police report is an official report filed by the police usually for a crime or complaint of a suspected crime.

An incident report is a report that can be filed by almost any one. They are used in companies when something does not go as planned. An Incident report is filed by management with details of what led up to and the cause and effect of the incident. It is used to evaluate what can be done to prevent the same thing from happening again.

Example: Employee A purchased some software and had it installed onto a company computer. When the computer connect to the corporate network, everyone on that part of the network who attempted to log on were unable to. IT traced it down to Employee A computer. As soon as the remove Employee A's computer from the network, the employees were able to log onto the network.

The incident report filed becaused of the network failure showed that it was caused by Employee A's software. The software started to broadcast itself as the master browser on that section of the network prevent anyone from logging onto the networkdue to the incorrect master browser. A policy was drwn up that all software was to be tested and approved by the IT department before it could be loaded onto a computer connected to the production network.

Good Luck

I believe Shelly is correct. Also you have to pay for a police report, it takes a bit of time for them to have those ready for you.
