I agree with dumdum. I think it is just 26%. The lemmings that support Bush are probably the only sane (?) people who think that. Most of us have always known they had nothing to do with 9/11. However, Bush and his evil, illegal and immoral war have caused hundreds of thousands of them to want revenge on us for what Bush is doing to their country and loved ones, and will try to kill us in the coming years because of it. God help us, Bush has created a monster.

The staff report said that bin Laden "explored possible cooperation with Iraq" while in Sudan through 1996, but that "Iraq apparently never responded" to a bin Laden request for help in 1994. The commission cited reports of contacts between Iraq and al Qaeda after bin Laden went to Afghanistan in 1996, adding, "but they do not appear to have resulted in a collaborative relationship. Two senior bin Laden associates have adamantly denied that any ties existed between al Qaeda and Iraq. We have no credible evidence that Iraq and al Qaeda cooperated on attacks against the United

In 1998, the U.S. press, as a news community, reported that the U.S. had bombed Saddam Hussein's cache of WMD's.
It was true then and is true today.
Both Iraq and Iran had and have WMD's and the UN inspectors gave S Hussein enough time to effectively conceal his weapons and weapons components.
So, it would seem that the 50% of Americans who believe that Iraq had nothing to do with the attack are the ones who are incorrect.

Don't always believe what you hear on the news , a lot of news reports try to lead the American people astray to bolster there own point of view. I think the American people realize Iraq had little to do with 911 , Bush was just lashing out to find a smoking gun and this whole mess [ war ] blew up in his face and cost the American people grief and many young lives.

I am a part of that 50%, and being from a Military family, with friends and family Iraqi war veterans.
Do you believe all the media? Ever actually talked to a Soldier? Every single soldier I have talked to that has interacted with the Iraqi public say they are tremendously happy that we are there, because they acknowledge the terrorist threat that was indeed true.
95% of the media is Liberal, and when Fox news comes on that is somewhat unbiased, they automatically assume they are "Neo-Cons".
Really, do some research, talk to some veteran soldiers, and quit watching and believing EVERYTHING you see.

Iraq did not start the war with us, but we did find terrorist training camps inside of Iraq's borders and captured al-Qaeda terrorists did admit to training in Iraq.

A large number of people just absorb and spit back what they heard from others, without bothering to think about it or research the truth of it.
And of those, many refuse to adjust their thinking even when later presented by evidence to the contrary.
It's pretty sad.

Majority of the Americans believe that Iraq supported Al Qaeda and it is the reason that they presume that they contributed to 9/11.
