I recieved this email from my Step Mom, do you think it will happen?

Red Fridays.
Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing. Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that .... every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something red. By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.

Currently, judges alone make decisions on cases brought before courts in Japan. Do you think a jury system will work well in Japan?

I hope this stirs some good answers.

The question explained. I think government employees should be liable for their actions, whether by instruction or personal choice, when a reasonable person would see this activity as an unreasonable or questionable action.

Ex. An IRS employee hands down a fine. You want to appeal and they say there is no appealate process.

Ex. A DEA agent raids a house, on the orders of their superior, without knowing they do not have a search warrant. Had the agent asked to view the search warrant, they would have known it did not exist.

Ex. Military Service Acquisitions. A bean counter knowingly approves the purchase of a $400.00 toilet seat.

Ex. A Judge sentences a person to prison, on circumstantial evidence, and it is discovered later that this person was not the perpetrator. Had the judge not excluded evidence, the person would have been found not guilty immediately.

Dear All, I got my H1-B approved visa from USCIS this summer and applied refund for Premium Process fee. The refund check was issued and sent to my lawyer 3 weeks ago. Even though my visa case was closed and I made the whole payment to my lawyer few months ago, my lawyer suddenly emailed me a expense statement 2 weeks ago and said that I have to make the rest payment in order to get the refund. Is there any way I can deal with this mean lawyer? Thank you very much for your sharing.

I am interested in going into politics, but how does an average person go about it? I know you need an education, and i am currently attending college, but after that where do you start? I would like to one day run for a congressional seat, but how do i go about starting myself on that goal? Please only serious answers, i do believe people without millions of dollars can and should run for public office, so any advice would be helpful.

Or will the reaction be similar to the Nancy Pelosi brush under the rug of a unanimous declaration of condemnation of the MoveOn org ad stating "we have better things to do", and leave people who obviously need justice and the right thing done out in the cold as was done with the liberals to Patreus. With that in mind, how much Chinese dough will she get next time, hmmmm???

I emailed the Customer Service Center at the Census Bureau asking what would be the procedure to add Sexual Orientation in the demographics section (alongside race, sex, age, marital status) of the Census questionaire.

Robert Clair of the Census Bureau replied to me that it won't ever happen because "behavioral or preference issues are not really the domain or purpose of the decennial census program."

He suggested I write to my Congressional representatives and to the US Office of Management and Budget.

Wow. Sexual orientation is not included because the Census Bureau considers being homo a choice.

Any ideas of what to do in addition to contacting the Senators and Reps and the US Office of Management and Budget?

You spend millions of dollars investigating and prosecuting someone for killing a dog, things that people in other countries eat, but your justcie department would not look into threatened violence and racism against children not just in louisiana but all around your country.

please explain.

I am trying to understand.

So we have the monks in Burma demonstrating against the military rule with their chants and peaceful protests. It got me thinking for all the "good" the voice of the UK population does when we don't agree with a government issue, let the Houses of Parliament be beseiged by a marauding swarm of Morris Dancers, who are the stalwarts of British history and tradition.
Let them let rip with their jingly bell sticks and a "hey nonny ney" and see the politicians quake in their boots
Views anyone?
