As with my answer to the opposing question...America's very existence was in part given, and in part taken, from European society.

Culture, BMW, Volvo, Fiat, Renault, Fine wine, Music. The French give you the Status of Liberty.

As of recently, not much. The French resent us, the Germans don't care, the only people that seem to support Americans are the English.

Everything we are, at least most of us, well, maybe not anymore but alot of us have ancestors from there and they made us who we are. I think every American needs to visit at least one other country before thinking we are all that, because there is a lot to learn from others if you can keep your mind open long enough.
