Protesting was what brought the war in Vietnam to a end . Protesting in marching on Washington is what gave Americans their civil rights.Protesting is a very Powerful tool unlike some other countries has worked well for Us. It is a great way to bring attention to issues that cause you concern. Had it not been for the Civil Right March would we all be able to enjoy the freedoms that we have?

Becasue Bush got re-elected. They lost the protest. What would be the point? Bush and Cheney are not running for re-election. With the stances that many of the candidates are taking on the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, who would they protest? Too many choices right now. Wait until July or August. They should be up and craniking again by then with a more clearly defined political target.

there are a number of motives and complacency is a huge one. additionally, there have been somewhat super anti-conflict protests on the subject of Iraq however the corporate media does not conceal them a lot, so the effect is that there are none while in actuality there are some. yet i think of there are much less and one considerable reason is that state, interior sight and federal governments have all been making it very puzzling for huge protests to take place. The techniques of herding human beings to places the place they gained't be seen making use of the excuse of protection, arresting protestors for doing not something greater desirable than work out their First substitute rights, and so on., have had a chilling result.

The was a whole lot of protesting going on this summer when the US Senate tried to pass an immigration amnesty bill. We did it with letters, phone calls, emails, faxes. The Senate got the message. That is what counts.
Marching in the streets and acting like fools impresses no one.

We have the Internet now, so we're lazy protesters. :) Too much work to stand out in the elements with a sign when we can just rant and rave on a blog.

Most people are too busy working and taking care of their families to stand in the streets.
